Ive been driving for these guys for few weeks now. Everything seems to be exactly what they said. So no disappointments. I have been battling some breakdown issues but for my first 8 weeks I'm guaranteed at least $100 bux a day. So no worries just yet. I'll keep this post updated if anyone is interested.
James2288 Thanks this. -
what trucks do they give to solos and more photos

Volvo 670's.. kinda small for my taste but they clean up nice.

Dude, lose that hidious looking thingy on the front end. (moose guard or whatever). Are you runnin' Manitoba, or what?

Dwayne, please keep us posted on your experience with Nationwide. I am looking for a "home" when I get back to the States. BTW, I kinda like the 4 wheeler clearance bar in the front!
-
Also very interested in knowing how you are doing. I have been looking at them for some time now. Curious about the weekly avg miles and the areas that you are running. Hope that not alot of East Coast. This has become a definate no for me.

anyone have any more info on them they want to bring me on

The Good:
Run no further East than Pittsburgh. No further West than Denver.
Good equipment maintenance.
Helpful, friendly office people. Treat you well.
See a lot of the same customers.
Loose leaf logs.
MPG/Idle Bonuses.
The Bad:
Pay is 34cpm flat pay. NO RAISES.
No toll reimbursement.
YOU pay for TripPak.
Trucks are getting old and ragged out. (But are maintained)
Home-time is one day off for one week out. (Strict and your pushed out as soon as its up.)
NO layover/detention/breakdown pay.
Expensive family insurance.
Meat and mail loads seem to have a lot of waiting around.
With all this said I still like Nationwide. The people really make the company but due the hard times they we're forced to cut out a lot of stuff to stay in business. Hopefully if/when things improve things will be better for them and they can give their drivers back some of stuff they had to take away. -
Do you mind if I ask what kind of miles your getting they seem or sound gsood and instead of giving me a bus they are flying me out a plus in my book just which they allowed pet
