To the best of my knowledge they do. I've read several posts here from folks asking about Prime - then come back and say they are over the maximum BMI limit. Most of them only needed to loose a few pounds to qualify.

Really? You must be thinking about the loosers who spend all their time hanging out at the truckstop, wind up being late at their destination, and then wonder why they aren't trusted with good loads. And evidently you haven't been reading very much of what is posted here either.

Mame, without trying to make light of your friends condition(size) or yours, let me share a quick story 4 u,Im 5'11 and last Sept I left the house and started to eat very well(I was 235 at the time) my Doctor told me to loose some weight for my upcoming Mytral Valve heart surgery(he wanted 10-15 lbs lost before Dec.so i started to eat really well, mostly salads and such, and walla i started to loose weight, and I mean alot of weight. In all I lost 56 lbs but it wasnt from me eating well,On Oct 31st I was in Meridian Ms TA and call 9-11 thinking i was having a heartattack,When the EMT's arrived they asessed me and determined thay i was DKA,or going into diabetic shock(my blood glucose level was 628!)1st ? asked to me was why wernt you checking your diabetes??,,DOC i didnt know i was:biggrin_2556:It was determine thru a A1C test that I had "elevated blood sugar" for the past 3 months,my entire family has no record of this condition at all.So laying there for 3 days after coming out of ICU I look back at the last 3 years, all the signs were there, and the one thing that stood out was last January's Physical where I had my first BMI,I was 5'11 and 235,I was passed but warned that you will not pass next years BMI due to new Reg's coming down,i then asked him how much weight would i need to be at,he said 175.So here I am 3 months after I was sent home on the bus,and now I have just passed my back to work physical(2 of them really,1 for "Family Medical Leave Act,and the other was a DOT)
So with all that being said, its in your best interest to loose weight, and a lot of it,I lost 56 lbs,and thru constant good diet now i only gained back 5 lbs in 90+ days,My BP now is at a constant 125/70(before it was always 180/90) I feel better, but it took a life-threatning tour of the ER to wake me up,Hope you the best(your friend also)

My understanding is that when OP said "roommate" she meant the roommate she had at the PRIME training facility in Springfield, MO. Granted, maybe I have just not perused enough sites, but if I hadn't discovered thetruckersreport.com, I would never have known about it. Call a recruiter and ask for yourself what their "requirements" are 1-800-224-4585

Prime is for Newbies. The company reminded me of high school with the jocks on one side and the freaks on the other. Oh, by the way just got back on the road. no one ever mentioned BMI or sleep apnea. I pass prime trucks all day and thank God for showing me the way......far away from that CIRCUS called Prime! I thought this was a safe place to tell your side, but the cheerleaders come out in full force everytime someone makes a comment about the company. If you want to sugar coat the truth go head, Knock yourself out. Anyway to the Big Boys looking at companies, stay clear of Prime.

Dude you need help, not trying to make fun of you but man your clinicley obese,Are you Diabetic? Have you had a A1C done, just because you passed a DOT physical(which is so generic) dont mean your healthy.I was deemed overweight at 235(Im 5'11).You will never loose weight in a truck,no matter how good you eat

I have to dissagree with you on that one. All you have to do is set a hour a day for a fast walk and watch the calorie and fat intake. You will loose weight. I lost 70lbs doing this. But it takes a really big effort on your part to do it.

    sazook Thanks this.
