Congrats Sparky! I'm stoked for you! Drive safe out there. If for any reason you don't feel you are being trained properly or you do not get along with your trainer don't be afraid to speak up and get it taken care of.

Driversneedednow, hence the name I think that is the reason for the recruiter/spy comments. Someone posting their pay isn't going to do you any good anyway. You are going to get a range of $0-1200 depending on the individual and what they did that week and how they drive. If you are wondering what your pay is going to be if you are a brand new over the road driver I would figure $500-700 for an average. Yes it can be way less hell it can and does sometimes go in the negative some weeks, and yes it can be a lot more sometimes topping $1200-1500 for a week with good miles and bonuses added in there. There is absolutely no set guarantee as to what you are going to make. Just for example one driver driving across I-80 this week could post his pay and it could be -$250. Another driver posting his pay driving across I-10 this week could have made $950. There are so many variables in driver pay that is ridiculous! Poolplyntruckers, Congrats! It maybe a little tight for the next few weeks but it will be all worth it. Same as I told Sparky, if you guys feel you are not being trained properly or find yourselves not getting along with your trainer make sure you speak up and talk to safety and your dispatcher. It happens all the time and the company realizes this. Don't put your career in jeopardy because of some idiot driver with a "trainer"status. A lot of those guys are new themselves. With that being said though there is also a very good chance you will end up with an excellent trainer and you will have the time of your lives out there! Central extremely values their husband/wife teams and you will be treated like gold! Depending on your status and performance while training I can almost guarantee you will be put in a fairly new if not brand new truck when you guys are done training. When my wife and I upgraded at Central we were asked to do a few favors from Kurt W. Once we completed our tasks he gave us the keys to a brand new 670! Plastic on the seats, paper tag in the window! Both my wife and I absolutely loved driving for Central and on more than one occasion they went above and beyond to help us out. In one instances to the tune of over $23,000! Keep your safety record clean, make sure you are never late, and never, ever, ever let your DM know you are unhappy about anything! You take whatever load they give you and say "thank you"! Follow these simple little tips and you guys will make enormous amounts of money. Will be slow going at first until you guys get used to it and learn how to hustle. Central expects their teams to run 7000 miles a week or 1000 a day. Once you learn how to stack your preloads and how the industry works then it should be a breeze. Make sure to take lots of pictures and video if you can. You will really appreciate it later. No matter what happens out there during training and for the first three months you need to push through. There is potential for it to be very stressful if you do not know how to handle it. The lifestyle shock effects the women more too! Not having a shower everyday and putting on make up seems to have an effect on them! Anyway best of luck to you guys if you ever need anything shoot me a "PM".

 

Pretty much ALL this info is either on Centrals webite ie cpm,bonuses-otherwise the info can be found if you go back and read thru this thread (like I did) otherwise like Chompi said how much you make (from others experience) isnt going to be specific to you, there are too many variables! They pay .28 cpm for solo .35 cpm for teams and they pay on miles according to the household movers guide (zipcode to zipcode). Nothing is gaurenteed as far is pay is concerned you CAN make good money if you are a "worker", if you want to sit (wheels not turning) you will struggle, might as well go work for Wallyword! Chompi, thanks for the info! We are sooo ready to go to work! We have commited 3-5 yrs to this! We are doing this for 2 reasons 1) make money and 2)see the US, we do expect it to be hectic (to say the least) to adapt living in a 6 ft closet! And yes I will miss be able to take a shower everyday let alone being able to put makeup on and fix my hair! But thats ok, I am flexable! ( I think)LOL!
I am actually hoping on 5000-7000 miles a wk= BIG MONEY! Makes it well worth being away from family and friends!

Will do. So far it is fine, but with some differences. Especially the paper logs. Don't have much practice with those. Also, you cannot even read the qualcom when the truck is moving. Plus we don't have prepass for the weigh stations. But that said, the money per mile is better and so are the benefits.

I'm headed to Liberal KS right now to get my load to head me towards home. I'm still trying to get my DM to get me a drop in the PHX yard so I can go home instead of passing then trying to get back. That's the only thing that has sucked since I started driving. The first week I got my truck I got a load home now its like pulling teeth to get them to get me to PHX.

I don't know, maybe your name "driversneedednow". pay starts at .28 /mile. Central uses household goods miles. Detention starts after 2 hrs of being on time for your appointment. Company trucks are governed at 62

Not a bad area, and very pretty in the Summer and Fall.
Just not allot of freight going out of Maine. Mostly Wood, Mulch and water. But you cannot haul the water due to the loads being too freaking heavy for a reefer.
You will pass me at some point though. I will be headed home tonight. Pick up near Johnstown NY tonight and bring to the house.
Then deliver in Indy Monday evening.
Sitting south of Boston at the moment.
That is a good run for training though. You will see a bit of everything. And it will not make you drive in any of the really large eastern city's.
Careful around Boston. You never know what those idiots will do. Cannot even rent a car in Boston unless you can prove that you have driven there for at least 2 years.
That is how crazy they are.
