Hey Al, what can you tell me about the place you delivered at in Jacksonville? I deliver there on Tuesday and was wondering if there's any specific issues with this consignee. My appt is at 8am, I drove past there yesterday on my way home so I know where it is. Thanks.

I got empty on Thursday bright and early and was told to come to the yard. I was about half way to Pittston when Louie called and told me he had a Florida load that was being loaded on Friday at noon. The only problem was that it was going to Jacksonville and not Orlando, but it delivered on Tuesday. He told me to take it and go home and do what I needed to do then head back up to Jacksonville and unload. That was a real nice gesture on his part.

I said sure and that I would see him around 2pm. We hung up with each other and about 15 minutes later he called again with a problem he was having. Could I take a load to Patterson NJ and unload it 7am the next morning then head over to Fairlawn NJ and drop and hook with a load to bring back to the yard? Without hesitation I said absolutely.

I got to the yard and was given all the particulars. The driver was coming in from GA and would be at the terminal around 7pm. Like clockwork he showed up, I hooked to the trailer then went to the Petro up the street and showered then went to bed. I woke up the next morning at 4:30 am and was rolling by 5am. I was empty in Patterson, reloaded in Fairlawn and sitting back in Pittston at 11am. I dropped the load and hooked to an empty then headed over to McElhattan for my Florida load. That little jaunt to Jersey and back paid me $150 and I was done in 6 hours and on my way home at 2pm.

I got home last night at 9pm and will leave Monday night at 9pm to be in Jacksonville to unload Tuesday morning.

Well I went to bed last night a spry 54 year old and woke up this morning a 55 year old card carrying senior citizen menber of AARP! The only good thing about Feb 13 being my birthday is that I get to share it with my daughter Stephanie who turns 21 today. Happy birthday Angel!

Funny, my daughter said the same thing, except I haven't had a drink in 22 years. I told her I would go with her and I'll have a soda. Time sure does fly.
