Also, if it is the actual store (WalMart, Home Depot, Lowes, Safeway, Target, etc) and not a dc, the majority of them can be found by using the "POI" method if the raw address gives it fits.

None of them that we have ever tested, have dc's as a POI. So that means that those don't exist as a readily available POI set or one or more of these guys would have put them in that way. <hint hint>

It means that the GPS records a little trail, called breadcrumbs, whereby it shows everywhere you went. The Garmin 465T does this the best of the truck-specific units. Most don't do it at all. The PCM Navigator brand does it and they call it "tracks" but it doesn't give the breadcrumbs a nice little visible blue trail like the Garmin does.

Rand is aware of this and a fix has been done, but not in the production version of the TND Dock yet. It is still being tested in QA.

With the version of the TND Dock you have it will tell you that you have updates even though you just updated. So you are not going crazy.

    thanks,
    Mark

Rand has researched the issue of the USB cable and although it is within specs, other components were also in specs, but just enough to be a little out of spec when connected to each other, if that makes sense.

E-mail me your address and serial number off the back of your TND.

    Thanks,
    Mark

There is a lot going on at Rand behind the scenes in order to bring Canada up to par with the rest of the mapping. Rand understands that some issues exist and any input from you is always taken with a big Thank you.

    thanks,

E-mail me your address. I have a 1.1 hub I would like you to try and see if that resolves the issue. The 64 bit/win 7 machines are a odd bunch sometimes to resolve the "can I see the TND" issue.

    remind me in the E-Mail

    Thanks,
    Mark

And the other navigation units are made where? Along with about everything we use...

5 Days, have you sat down and actually played with all the buttons to see what the TND can actually do?

    Thanks,
    Mark
