Yes I did and thanks! The ones that were showing up on a Google search were all a lot more expensive. Mostly from services that really just want to charge you an arm and a leg to do the whole application process you can do for yourself in a few minutes. Even just getting the instant download was over $50 on most of them.
Coincidentally, my number falls in the range of today's list although it was not approved today. So it looks like the timeline the OOIDA person quoted was right on. My insurance posted yesterday when my MC number was higher than the highest one approved that day. I also noted that sometime yesterday, the pdf report on the authority number now has the application status section blank (used to have a "no" or "ok" for the ins and boc-3). So maybe that's a sign someone has it for review, or maybe just the low bidder that coded that website made a mistake LOL. So now a matter of whether they will approve us within the next bus day or so or sit on it two more weeks. -
PC, maybe the permit does it for Oregon. I was just assuming because NM & KY require apportionment.
Here is another story but about NY.
I got a load into NY. I was all loaded and on my way to NY and decided to get my permit. I called Custom permits and ordered the permit. The next day Custom called me and told me that NY had denied my permit and wanted me to call them. When I called NY they told me a previous owner of my truck had failed to pay his road tax on my tractor and until the tax was paid they couldn't issue a permit. They told me they would give me a quote on the taxes due but have never done that. I bootlegged in and made my delivery and picked up a load and don't plan on going back until this issue is taken care of. It makes New England and NY off limits but there are lots of other states to run to. -
Finding out you have to learn when to jump on loads Friday there was a lot of loads posted in my area ranging from $1.80 to well over $2 a mile they got gone quick only ones left is short and NE so I sit and wait not gonna mess with the cheap junk. Might have to try to put together a bunch of short trips

And I still havn't got my certificate from FMCSA So the $14.00 down load was well worth it from what I have made in the past couple weeks

Interesting. Our authority went active on Tuesday 3/8 and the certificate came in today's mail (two identical copies in separate envelopes). I got the advance copy and it payed for itself at the IRP office last week, but that's about it. Trivia: the pdf download has a color logo and the actual item that came US Mail is black and white.

Mr. Plumcrazy, How long did it take to get your operating authority? I filed on-line 3 weeks ago and still haven't gotten mine. I soon have a truck and trailer payment and have yet to take a load!
