*sigh* I don't know who is more of the moron here...but some ######## dropped a trl at americold in Rochelle, IL without lowering the landing gear and americold loaded it that way. Not to mention a little over 45k in a refer! You know what it like trying to raise the trl with 45,700? The yard dog was at Ouch so he couldn't help me.

I have had to do that once before. Trailer did not have as much weight in it though. I dumped the air bags on the truck, raised trailer up enough to get end of frame under it, backed up and inflated air bags. Did this until I could get the fithwheel under the trailer with bags empty. Still took time but faster than cranking it all the way by hand.

started my classes march 7 n had 2 leave march 11 2 come back 2 columbus ohio 2 get a doctors release for a pulled muscle i had in early feb. 80 hrs on a stinkin grayhound there n back. then another 40 hrs back again after i see this doctor tuesday mornin. not mad at central though. rules r rules i guess!! :biggrin_2552: but i do like centrals school so far. instuctors r real good n thorough. answer any n all questions. if u pay attention n do what they teach u really cant fail the program unless ur just not cut out to b a driver. i had already been studyin the cdl books b4 i got there n with what they taught us i was able 2 pass the temp test n 7minutes 35seconds with scores in the 90's on all 3 tests :biggrin_25519: i think the school is really set up 4 ur success. (CONTRARY 2 what the people who get kicked out n flunk out say) heard so many bs lies from guys goin home it was actually funny at times!! one guy claimed he was kicked out for admitting he smoked weed back in 2009 but truth was the idiot had a pending gun charge on his bacground check. lots of guys failed the drug test that they told u that u would b takin. the work well n dot physical thinned out a few more also. my class lost bout 1/3 first day n 1/2. not includin me cause im heading back on tuesday!! the people on here gave me very good advice even more happy with the decision 2 go with central. THIS GOES OUT 2 ALL THE NAYSAYERS there was 5-6 guys that tried to b walk-ons with central from the drivin school next door CR ENGLAND n i rode bus with a guy that quit CR ENGLAND 3 weeks into his road training.. said he tried to walk-on with central also. got guys from SWIFT -WERNER and some other private schools here for training also. :biggrin_25524: i cant wait 2 get back n finish my trainin n start drivin. n get out of the jail cell bunk rooms LOL!! but overall u drivers here told the truth bout the school n i like it so far. it is what u make!!!!

Walk-on....one who walks in looking for a job off the street.
Work well..... a monitored (pulse rate and BP) test of physical agility. The test is comprised of several movements of weights and ladders...simulating loading and unloading a truck....which we rarely do.....designed to further thin the herd of driver whanna be's.

A Bluebird driver saw me and helped me crank the landing gear down in Low gear. I did it about 2 in. and he did it for about 3/4 of an inch. and the 5th wheel still wasnt under the trl. Just got it up enough so the edge of the 5th wheel gets under the trl then i had to ram the trl in reverse just like the yard dogs do to get under it. Cranking the landing gear with 45k+ definitely not fun.
