Thanks heavyD.... The problem I have is the work lights at back outside of cab came on one day and stayed on..... I thought those were reverse lights till the green work light on dash came on and still is lit up....I pulled the fuse so work lights are off along with my lighter plug. The odd thing is there is no switch for the work lights ....(whoops) someone was sleeping on the job....not even a empty/ plugged up hole to put a switch for one. Sounds like I need to pay the piper unless you have a page or 2 you can email me or fax showining where the wires for this are and possible causes.
TIA.

hmmm that work light switch is in a weird spot if if i remember--but cant remember where--somebody should be here to tell you where it is
check on the wall beside the seat--about 1/3 way up -
Yep, work light switch is behind the drivers seat on the wall. It is a dumb spot, but International's thinking is the driver can turn the lights on or off while outside of the truck. You should just be able to open the door and slide your hand around. It is there somewhere.
-
it should be near the pull cable you use to open the luggage compartment.

wow my alzheimers isnt as bad as i thought--i havnt been in an in since about 04
-
I will check it out tomorrow.... Sounds like you guys give better info than the service tech at international as they told me it should be on dash along with all the other switches. Appreciate the help !
-
It is on Prostars, 4000 series, so they are kinda right.
-
It was right were you said it would be......I asked 2 different international service techs at 2 different shops and both had no clue where it was on a 9400i. Had I forked over the $340 for the manual I would of demanded a refund after finding the switch. I'm just glad there are people on here who know what they are talking about. Thanks again ,

I am sorry to hear they were trying to screw you. Just remember, because they all say International on front of the building doesn't mean they are all the same. There are good shops out there!
-
They weren't trying, they just didn't know the answer. Not that much different with some other makes, either.
I hope the original poster gets a good one, whatever he ends up with, but they all take some work to keep them running over time.
There are differences between dealers of the same make, sometimes, you end up going a bit farther away to get knowledgeable repairs done at a decent price.Listen to others who have dealt with dealers before.
