well, i did almost a year's worth pf research and due diligence before picking a program to go with so yeah, i'd say i'm pretty informed on the type and quality of programs available in the central nc area lol.....and will add as an afterthought that almost all of the community college programs, in this area, are around 1000 total.....just hate to see anyone waste money when there are so many options out there

ok 1 PTDI will not give it's accreditation to any school that has more than 1 student in the cab on road sessions 2 as an independent contractor who takes a risk hiring from a school 8wks won't cut it bet your school only used daycabs and 28' trailers too. can you parrallel park a otr rig? can you back up around obsticals and still dock can you blind side dock? if you answered no to any your not ready your below a rookey
you bost to much call me after 1 yr otr 48 + can
my class started with 25 trainig is real and 20 droped out didn't have what it takes of the 5 who graduated only 1 isn't driveing at this time(medical)
the cost of fuel would have cost mor than what you claimed to pay. then to pay the instructors, you know I bet you qualified for the welfare jobs program training

there always an expert everywhere that knows more than anyone else lol i'll take your "points" one at a time:

    1) this is a state-subsidized program through the community college system and that's why the cost is so low.

    2) The companies recruiting from our program only recruit from PDTI certified courses...if they didn't have the certification, they wouldn't be hiring from our school. each of them clearly state they will NOT accept students from anything other than a PDTI school.

    3) we're using sleeper cab 2006 volvos / 10 speeds, 2 mid-roofs and one condo, and 48's & 53's thank you very much and i've already passed backing skills including blind side, parallel, alley docking, 90 degree alley docking, offest alley docking, and serpintine.....in additional to already qualifying on the first of 3 road tests for the CDL and mountain operations.

    4) the only daycabs and 28's are used for intial backing training.

    5) you've got a whole 3 years? guess that makes you an unqualfied expert, both for MY program, which you obviously know NOTHING about and my skill level which you REALLY know nothing about

for the record, I have over 10 year's experience yard work backing pups, doubles, 48's, & 53's in situations you couldn't even begin to concieve with only 3 years on the road as part of the warehousing/trucking side of my air cargo operations......sure would like to see you back a set of doubles into a staging area.....so, why don't YOU call ME after you've been backing in these types of situations for over a decade and THEN make your point.

as for your asinine comments about my welfare status, for the record again, i'm coming from a senior management position in aviation, and make waaaayyyyy more than you do as a "3 year's experienced self-proclaimed super-trucker"......look at the picture in my avatar, that's a boeing 727 aircraft i'm sitting in and licensed and qualified to fly with more than 2500 hours in. at landing wieghts of 140,000 lbs+, i doubt you could handle that in 1/4 mile visibility and 200 foot ceilings.....so before you make insinuations about my intelligence or income or ability level, you better know who it is you're talking to......layoff after 15 years in aviation at the senior management level is why i choose the career change. i also own several rental properties in addition and don't have to work. i just want to and this is what i want to do. i've already made my money and no, for the record, financial aide is NOT available for this course.

no, not everyone who enrolled is going to make it. quite a few of them actually arent' going to....but our instructors are patient and not willing to write them off until they have exhausted every means of working with them to ensure they did not get short-changed in any way. but, many of them aren't going to make it and that's just the sad truth of it.

i know in this forum we aren't supposed to comment on spelling and grammar abilities so i won't, but it goes a long way towards pointing out the difference between he who made an ### of himself, and he who knows what he's talking about.

self-proclaimed 'experts' just irritate me. i made no secret about my student status and level of experience.....and in fact, went quite into detail about it.....far be it from you to come off like you know my situation (or the program i'm in) better than I do.

Clutch Are you serious Some of your comments have now thrown me for a loop, and when I am done with this response I can almost tell you what the words of your lips will be, but then again if I want any lip from some 3 yr ROOKIE who has driven less miles forward than I have Backed in 23 years, I will scrape it off the bottom of my boot when I walk through the feed lot.

So Now that I have that out of my way let me correct you about a few things, Regardless of where someone comes from who in the hell are you to judge them, welfare or millionaire which neither of us are obviously we drive trucks, so keep the bs trucker lies out of this.
But you seriously think you have the right to judge someone by the way they back, get out of here with that horse crap, I have seen men with 20 years on me have a tough time hitting some docks, and I have seen people with less than a year nail the same dock on the first try, and not once have I met a expert backer. I know many guys who yank doubles, and they back them up rather well, but they have above all one thing the ability to encourage a Newbie t always do better, and they like me would jump in your ### with both feet as you are not what trucking is about, nor are you the kind of trucker I would bother talking to in a truck stop with that I am better than everyone else yet I do not know shiit attitude you have.

    To the Flying Musician,

Rock on man, you are doing the right thing and do not listen to anything this 3 year wonder is spewing out his ####smoker, as he is not any where near a pro or he would be teaching your class and not belittling people. Not often someone pisses me off like this No it all billy big rigger wannabe.

If you look up some of my post on here like "the truth about trucking without the sugar coating" you will see my knowledge of trucking grows everyday and I am still a rookie with 23 years and 2.7 million miles. I am not perfect, nor am I the best driver, and I have my faults, but I am a Professional, who will tell you in a heart beat I have asked for spotters on some docks, and other I have been lucky and hit it first time, not everyday that happens.

But you keep doing great in school and in the end trucking will be rewarding for you and you will succeed with the great attitude you have and outlook. .

yes doc, i have, in fact read your posts and felt enlightened and informed by many of your comments and would like to think after more than a year of research i'm going into things with my eyes open and do have some idea of what i'm getting into....and as a pilot, i'm well aware that just having the license doesn't mean anything....it's a license to learn....which is the way i'm approaching getting behind the wheel as well....i still learn something new everytime i get behind the yoke of an aircraft after 20 years, still learn something new about the guitar every time i pick it up after 39 years and know full well, 20 years from now, will still be learning about driving a rig as well......i appreciate your support and comments and know full well there are more of the old-school types with integrity out there (regardless of age) than there are this bozo that begged to be put in his place. i'm usually easygoing and laid-back, but like you, just couldn't let that one go....especially when i was trying to help someone out who was genuinely interested and asking for information on the program i'm in. thanks again man.....see you out there.....

boy how upset we get. when a critic shows up. I didn't judge you did that your self never said rich or pore. a fool can work fo 20 yrs and still be a fool.
pls get mad. it tells me i hit a nerv there must be some truth in you'r assumption, I never said he was a bad driver but said 8 wks train isn't something i would gamble on, I did say call me after you recive more experiance
all i can say is en education does not make one smart to learn from the experiance and to stop and take time to see,
what you have shown me is that you 2 are prideful and not worth hrieing, for you'r pride will get in the way.
