I have noticed a trend in the reporting a bad company forum. People register, make a thread about a company, and then never post again. I think there needs to be a time limit and post count limit to start a thread in that forum.

I've wondered that myself so we could be as fair to companies as possible as well. Anybody else think the same? What should be the minimum post count to post in there, etc??
-
I would think a 5 day, 10 post minimum. Its not too long, and we wont have people just making random posts in threads.
-
I have a better idea. It's actually Burky's idea, since he was already doing something along this line.
When someone comes along and simply says "Joe Blow Trucking sucks" and we don't hear from him or her ever again, he posts a statement warning to either elaborate or the post or new thread gets deleted.
This may be better than imposing a post quota on that section. -
Hm, that's a good point, Mack...that way we don't irritate real posters who are wanting to really get involved and the like...hmmmmm. We should be as fair to the companies as possible to be sure and NOT simply have a "disgruntled employee's" section, etc...
-
But would that be an automatic thing? Or would it have to be moderated by a person?
-
Has to be moderated by a person...which is the problem...takes time. I am not sure on this one, I DO see your point, tigosurf...

Well, management is always welcome to tell their side, as long as they don't try to coerce their employees on here.
The Swift terminal manager has been a welcome breath of the other side of the story. -
While I understand that there are some that register post a vague negative post about ABC company then disappear into cyber space, it could have a draw back result if you had a time criteria before someone could post. I am a good example of that. When I first came to this forum my initial posting was about JB Hunt and their Lease Purchase Program and the mess my husband and I were in. If I wasnt able to post my complaint I probably would have bypassed this forum and that would have been a shame since I have received loads of good advice from people like Mack, Burky, Turbo, Tip and yourself plus many many members. I have grown to have a bigger voice in this forum and gained valuable knowledge. I know it would be more work for mods but the deleting of such non-informative postings would be more the way to go. YEP! AGREED!
There has been a few posts in the WELCOME thread as well where they said just about that.
I sent off a PM to those members asking for a clarification as to what really sucks.
Depending on the member you sometimes hear back from them and they will post more info.
Other's could care less and I have deleted those threads.
