Jerry Lewis Quits

Didn't know he was still alive.

 

I haven't watched the telethon since I was a kid living at home.

I saw Jerry Lewis on one of the late night talk shows several years ago and could hardly recognize him.

He was saying then that he was suffering from some disease which caused him a great deal of pain and weight gain.

I wonder if his condition has worsened and that's what's brought on his retirement.

Never been a fan of his, although I applaud his work with the cause... I think "Jerry retires" is more appropriate than "Jerry quits"... given that he's 85 years old and has been doing teh MDA telethon for 45 years... I'd say he's due some retirement.
