I won't touch an energy drink. I'm pretty sensitive to caffeine and I can't tolerate any artificial sweeteners (so no 5-Hour). I'm slowly learning to like iced mochas or hot chocolate with coffee in it just for the occasional pick-me-up, but I don't think I'll ever do the energy drinks.

I've never tried an energy drink. I drink coffee more out of habit than anything. I use to drink the equivalent of 2-3 pots a day, now I am down to 4 cups or less a day. The caffeine never really effected me. I can have a cup of coffee 10 minutes before going to bed and I still sleep just fine.

I've never tried coffee or energy drinks however I've heard that eating a apple actually is more of morning stimulant than either of the other 2. People say the 5 hr energy drinks do work though.

    Trilleth Thanks this.

I love 24K - it is a totally healthy energy drink focused on stress relief, energy and fatigue. No stimulants and no crash. It's only 2.00 a serving.

I have never been one for energy drinks, nor have I ever tried any. I usually stick to water, and the occasional bottle of soda or even more occasional cup of coffee. I am currently in truck driving school and my instructors (and graduates coming to visit, company recruiters, and videos in class) all stress that energy drinks, even a coffee break, doesn't work if you're tired. They keep saying that if your tired, the only thing that will cure you is a nap.

It all depends on the driver to be honest. I've seen and worked with some who easily drink 20 or 30 of them Big Monster I think they are called BFC's. Myself I just stick the black coffee.

Black coffee (Tim Hortons where I can get it) is my usual choice for a pick up if I need one, but the occasional diet rockstar or monster lo carb (or the newer absolute zero) is a nice change of pace (and only one!) when that need comes around now and then on a long trip like Winnipeg to Edmonton. Most days bopping around western canada, I can live without the stuff.
