You are talking about two different things. The citation or ticket and the inspection report. If you have a violation during an inspection then it can be said they are giving you a warning. But, the inspection report is what drives the CSA points.
And I think the guy loading my trailer has a ramp and is jumping the fork lift into my trailer.

It is not irrelevant. As well as the spelling mistake in the previous post this one contains a spelling error and a grammar error. I detect a pattern of sloppiness developing here.

The problem with demanding perfection of others is they will demand it of you and you will quickly discover you are incapable of performing.

Is the forklift operator going for distance or height?

I think it is a multi point ratingsystem. Height, distance and g-force on impact.

IMHO--the real problem as I see it with the new point system is--what was once meant to be a "heads up by a trained inspector" now goes against you. I recently had this discussion (over 2-3 beers)with a senior member of of the Pennsylvania State Police--who is also (by the way) a DOT Inspection Trainer. Although we have known each other for a very long time--we have not always agreed on things(imagine that!--LOL) but he told me straight up--he really doesn't like the new system--for just that reason. Minor infractions that used to be just warnings--and in his opinions warnings were/are a good way of making sure someone knew how things were supposed to be done--without hammering their pocketbook or license. As he put it--I have done countless inspections on good safe drivers(his words)who had a very minor equipment infraction--or slight clerical error--the examples he sighted were both wrong date on log page--and marker light out on top of trailer--as he put it--neither one are a big deal--and not a safety issue. BUT--he is required to not any discrepacies on the inspection report--and in his words the point system is unfair.
Now I know we can argue all sorts of things about professionalism etc--or he is being a hard ###(when in reality if he was he really could make a drivers life miserable)but the point being--what was once a standard fix it notice--is now a problem--and that is something that NEEDS to be addressed in the new rules--especially as he put it--since every Tom-Dick and Harry municipality is applying for Homeland Security funds and using them to train some of their officers as DOT cops--strictly for revenue enhancement.
Now--I am in NO way advocating--unsafe operation of any kind--but this is something to consider~~~~~~~~~

Ol' hand how many used to take that freindly warning and run it right into the next inspection, and the next, and the next................?

You can not honestly tell me you can walk through an average sized truck stop and see ten may pops, some bailing wire on a brake chamber, watch them blow right by a tire shop spitting gator chunks all over?

No one is going to lose anything for one warning, or even two for that matter. But a consistent pattern of having marginal equipment or paperwork garnering an audit? I have no problem with that, nor with a "proffesional driver" who shows consistent substandard behavior.

As I said in another thread I believe 25% of the people operating have no business doing so. 10% for the equipment they drive, 10% for the inattention to the details of their job, 5% should have never been allowed to solo as they have entirely the wrong mentallity to deal with being a for hire driver.

And if I was purporting to be an english professor you would be dead on. But your comparison is flawed as I am a driver for the sake of this discussion. All of my duties and paperwork pertaining to this job are carried out in a complete and legal manner.

Your mistaking a demand of doing ones job with some ideal. Everyone knows the laws. Do your job and you will be fine. Blame others for making you speed and whatever quaint stories you had and you will most likley end up posting as others have already started how no one will deal with you because your score is to high compared to others performing the exact same job.

All this new system does is give a complete picture of an operation, and drivers. That is it. Now those that show a higher percentage of failing to complete their labor will be given harder looks into their operations, and the side effect from that may be the termination of drivers showing up consistently with minor violations. Oh well in my opinion.
