tuesday i went to roswell and had a 3 stopper there.yesterday was a local with 5 stops in nashville.they got my drug test back yesterday afternoon so i get to drive today going back to roswell georgia.they are still waiting on texas to send a driver number before they give me a truck.they are expecting to have it when i get back today.still no word on which truck it will be.as for the job it will take some getting used to unloading all those matresses but i needed the exercise so i can't complain.still getting the hang of the peoplenet but it's nice not having paper logs.seems to be a good job so far i like that there is no northeast.well got to head out see you around.

So did you get all squared away and in the system? Get a truck yet? Im hoping I can head out today sometime instead of waiting until tuesday for the 4 week in a row. I have been getting back in on saturdays instead of fridays. This weekend was the third week in a row of that. You have to fight to hard to get your mileage in starting on tuesday. There is potential for some really good money here if everything falls in place correctly for a week but right now I am just squeeking in right at 2000 miles. at .42 per mile that still adds up to decent money but the way I am being run it just feels like I am working way to hard for it. Trying to cram some of these loads in between tuesday and friday and still get home is pretty tough. Its better than the construction gig I just came off of and Im glad to be getting my experience back but I'm not totally happy with it right now. Not to mention my truck still seems to find something new to go wrong on a daily basis. Dont hate it but not completely happy with the deal so far.

i finally got my driver number and card friday.i ran a local run so i could be home for my daughters graduation friday night.they had me run truck #60 friday but it is supposed to be temporary until one gets out of the shop.i am waiting on a call to see when i will leave out on my next run.it will take some getting used to.with star i drove 95% interstate and almost no city time.this is completely the other way around.the first full trailer unload by myself was interesting to say the least but i enjoyed getting the exercise.it will take some getting used to but i think i will like it.

Another late start to the week and on a shorter trip than i care for. The only upside to it is that its only one stop. That's a rare treat here so I guess i should enjoy that part of it.Going to head in early and see if they fixed any of the problems on my truck over the weekend. I dont really expect that they did but it would be nice if they at least got a new radio put in. Trucking is a lonely job sometimes made even worse when you dont have a functional radio in the truck. They were suppossed to order me one but Im not really expecting to see progress on that today even though its been a week to the day since it went out and i talked to them about it. The other more serious problems I have been trying to get taken care of for 4 weeks now so confidence is not high that those have been resolved either. Oh well, at least I got a one stop load for a change.

Hey, this is koreakee's wife. He's on his way back home this afternoon and they are moving him to truck 50. He wants a list of everything that's still wrong with it so he can be prepared before Monday. haha

Just got in an hour or 2 ago myself. Truck 50 let me see. They did fix a couple of things for me the day before I got out of it. It now has a brand new pretty kick ### radio and the interior lights work again but it still has a messed up hood that you cant close properly and the passenger side fuel tank has a leak once you get it over 1/2 or 3/4 full and it comes out pretty good. I have put that stuff on the inspection sheet for weeks so they know he just needs to keep bugging them about it like i did. Those are the 2 biggies right now. It had a whole bunch more wrong with it but i got a few things done here and there. The 2 left are just pretty big issues. Tell him to pay close attention to his turn signals. I had them go out on me twice in a week.Engine and transmission wise the truck runs pretty good and strong its all the other stuff that is terrible. It has electrical gremlins that will just randomly show up with things like the turn signals and the radio had gone out on me and I also lost all interior lights for a couple of days but that fixed that when they replaced the radio. Its a small flat top sleeper so tell him to get ready to be crowded. He might want to have the shop shoot some freon in the air conditioner it wasnt real cold at all. I think it was right at being due for service the night i got out to swap trucks to. Just have hime stay on them about the hood and bumper and fuel tank. You dont want to go rolling into an inspection with fuel dripping out of the tank.Again, the thing runs good but its not a truck you want to get pulled into an inspection with.He just needs to stay on them about getting it to the shop and hope another truck gets empty soon. That thing reads over 1 million miles on the computer and its been a hard fought million.Oh yeah, the dim setting on the headlights is almost useless. I tried adjusting them once but they are still very dim and not perfectly aimed due the the hood being messed up and out of allignment.Hopefully he is not in it very long. I left it cleaner than I found it when i got out to so let him know i am not the one that is responsible for any of the messiness inside. I think his biggest problem will be with the size of the inside of the truck. Its a peterbilt 378 so the cab is small to begin with and the sleep is flat top and tiny. I had a hard time getting in and out. I am sure he is used to much roomier trucks coming from Star. Again, hopefully he gets out of it quickly.I was only in it for about 3 and a half weeks. Maybe he will have the same luck.
