not to be so arrogant, but you put Not so rusty at all. Well after a display like you said I feel your rather rusty. Like everyone already said you should have seen this coming. Your in a big rig and can see a ways away or did you have some major obstruction? Even then if you had a obstruction were you following to close? Look at the BIG PICTURE. Its good you didn't take out the other truck but like mentioned what if the barriers were workers, IMHO I would have used that tool called brakes. If the passenger falls then it is his/her fault for not using the net and also your fault for not making sure they had the net up. I feel you messed up but hey if they don't mind keeping you then go with it.

I would have loved to have been that other driver! Just driving normally tottally legal doing what am sposed to be doing, the lane merges into you so the truck you passed or slow trucker without the speed trying to pass you has to back down or get runned over. Look to your right and realize this beasterd is hard core and aint giving in, start sheeting bricks, glance out mirror and realize the sombeach is willfully slaughtering sneider eggs to still get the one up on me. Fear! Adrenalyn! Rage! Bewilderment! Confusion! all in the same instant. Would love to have been the other driver.

Hope you get another job and are able to keep on trucking guy! Would love to hook up with you on the road sometime. Best wishes on your career bud!

If my co-driver didn't put up the net then their gonna earn frequent flier miles if something jumps out in front that warrants the middle peddle.

I'm not like everyone else here. You did the right thing to stay in that lane. I never believe what I read either. We know most of the time DOT has extra signs they just didn't want to bring back to the yard and decided to plant them any ol' place.
