Ok I'll ask what has E-Logs got to do with

    its been said on here E logs will cause drivers to fail and prices to increase and the world to collapse. I'm not a believer in doomsday theories. I believe the only people hurt by e logs will be the ones that run 2 log books and blow the speed limits all of the time to gain 10 minutes a day. If that is you and you think 10 mins is worth your life and lively hood then you have a poor life to begin with. I can plan my loads to land on time by the rules or I don't accept the loads period. anything else is unacceptable. so go ahead and flame me, but my dac is clean my insurance is cheap and I have no blood on my hands

    It is just like everything else that changes. People are terrified that it is going to put them out of business. Hell, the entire HOS is a work of idiots, but that hasn't stopped them.

    The industry will deal with elogs if they are forced too, just as they have dealt with all the other crap that has been thrown our way. I'm not saying we should like it. Just that if it goes into being, we are going to have to learn to live and work with it.

    And you can bet your bottom dollar, that somewhere, someway, somebody will figure out a way to "beat the elogs," and then excuse their actions.:biggrin_2552:

    And you are allowed to do that with in the confines of what we the public deem as safe. That being the 11/14 70 laws.

    Call it what ever you wish. Enslavement is absurd but so is most of the bilge spouted by people thinking they are free to behave to act however they wish on someone else's property.

    Yeah they seem to have a knack for representing the drivers they want don't you think? Like the ones leaving him and Johnson in their roles. The ones supporting their politicians trying to violate the USC.

    Maybe they should build a track out there at Grain Valley and they can be the free spirits they so desire to be without being the public menace they are becoming:biggrin_25514:

    Resplendent with all the chrome, insipid chicken lights, fingerless gloves, and leather vests they can sell with their little Odie eagle they hump!

    I am screwed out of my hours on paper too. Forgive me if I am not understanding your point. Many of the large carriers are on E-Logs. Yes, there are complications when first implemented, but not the rash of late deliveries as you stated. Whether on paper or computer, those 14 hours do not stop. That 14th hour on paper tells me when to rest, just like it would on a computer. You speak as if any load hauled by a carrier with E-Logs has been/will be late. I was on them and the only late deliveries were from those drivers that could not comprehend the instructions given in class.

    there's your answer right there! Nobody likes change when we went to the new cdl requirements everyone said the business was dead and oops we're still here.

    There wouldn't even be a concept of elogs if the old guard drivers who had their chance to do the job safe and legal all these years had done so faithfully.We (trucking) are where we are due to the old timers penchant for running multiple logbooks, popping multiple 'go' pills, and and breaking every law they didn't like. FMCSA has come out over the top and said 'enough is efreakinough', you will now play by the rules or GTFO.

    It is theoretically possible to do 1700 miles in 48 hrs with elogs, in a 65 MPH truck
