Look around to make sure there aren't any cameras or witnesses.

    great place to start,but . . . . . camera's aren't what one might think
ZOOOOM isn't your friend, weigh the cost based on your experience.
Posting to public forums of the outcome will tell the final value(s)

That's the new generation of Americans- personal responsibility is completely unknown to them. They've been taught in Public Schools that as long as they follow the rules, they can't be responsible for anything that goes wrong. Just be glad it wasn't your tractor, someday it might be..

Persosnally, I'd pull up and hit it again but harder!

You know that old saying..... If at first you don't succeed, try again!...:biggrin_2559:

But if you get out and look it's just like admitting you hit something! If you just play dumb and do a pullup you have plausable deniabilty! kinda like being in congress!:biggrin_2559:

A friend of mine had a trainer that backed into another truck at the truck stop. He starts pulling out and my friend says, "Where are you going?" He says, "To another truck stop." Kind of hard to say to another building though in the situation you saw lol.

The company you saw must be where he jumped to after he lost his job.

I got the air horn blown at me because my trailer doors touched the trailer doors of the Prime truck next to me. I said "Did I hit you?" He said "No, but the edge of your door touched the edge of my door." Keep your helmet on, I'm not going to hit your precious truck....

Personally? I'll get out and check for damage and to see where I might have gone wrong. If there is no damage, why go bug the shipper about it? So the shipper can blame you for every ding on the side of the building?

I had a door swing loose of the mooring hook as I was pulling out of a receiver. The wind caught the door and swung it around. It left a scratch on the fender of a beat-to-heck May truck. I asked the May driver what he wanted to do. He wanted to report it. Fine. I took pictures of every angle of his POS truck. He asked me why I was doing that. I told him so that May couldn't come back later and claim that I totaled their truck by being responsible for a two-inch scratch on the fender...that was missing the lower front corner already.

The lesson I learned from that: If there is even a chance the door will get loose from the mooring, use a bungee to hold it tight.
