Just thought I'd give yall a recap of my week. Monday mornin delivered in Ridgeway, VA. Then went over to Eden and picked up a load goin to Montgomery, NY for Tuesday Morning. Delivered that then got a load goin from Owen's up there near Weedsport to Plainfield, IL a 0430 appt time Thursday Morining. Think God Baritone was there cause I really wasnt sure where I checked in at. Preciate the help man! Sit there bout a hour then got a Menards load from Plano, IL over to Lafayette, Ind. After sitten 4 hours at the final finally got unloaded, and got a Beer load from Trenton to Eden so I could start my scheduled hometime. Pretty hard week of rolling but enjoyed it. But for some reason this week ive been have a helluva a time getting my truck go into gear like when im coasting to a light and it turns green. Its like if I miss one gear its almost impossible for me to grab another one. I tried higher rpm's lower rpm's its like nothin works. Every other week Ive had no problems with it at all but just here recently I just dont know. Guess Ill get to work on that when I leave out Monday mornin. Everybody be safe out there

Has happened to all of us at one point. Watch speed as well as rpm. We don't think of speed much when leaving a stop but especially on slight decline you may find you need to go from 3rd into 5th based on speed instead of trying to raise rpm to get in 4th, which if u got it, u'd only be in for a sec anyway at a very high rpm. Hope this helps.

Hey, guys just thought I'd give you a lil update. Well last friday had to sit all day in Cartersville for a load, but got a nice one out of Owen's in ATL saturday morning goin to West Allis, WI. Got that up there Sunday about midday, then headed over to Richfield to wait on a load. Monday morning got a 200 mile run over to near Madison, WI which was hopin for somethin a lil more but hey It got me moving atleast. Left Madison and got a run going from NewPage in Wisconsin Rapids over to Bedford, PA. Nice run but went all to hell because I had to wait 8 hours to get loaded over at Newpage which abosolutely killed my 14 for the day. Netherless got it to Bedford, PA wednesday morning. They headed me to Brockway, PA to Owens after that with a load going over to Trenton. Got to Trenton Thursday morning and got a load heading to Eden. Had to wait on the load to get there for a bit because the other driver got caught in that mess over on 65 which I understand completely so no biggie. Got to Eden today and just got a 2 stopper out of Eden goin to Barron, WI and a city outside Minneapolis, MN for monday deleveries. Sitten at the house now and I'm leaving bright and early in the mornin to get started on that run. Havin a blast out here I must say, been rolling pretty good hear of late and got a little rhythem going. Hope everybodys doing good and thanks for everybody who's helped me on here and different customers and so on. Seems like no matter where I go theres always a Millis guy there willing to help/share information. Hope everybody has a good weekend

Glad to hear things going well for you, appreciate the update.

I assume your on paper log, anyway whenever at shipper and possibility u may be there for awhile always go in your sleeperberth (what else is there to do at a shipper?) At 8 hours u have a split break your 14 hr clock is stopped.

For all new drivers: if u really want to run u have to learn to use split breaks. Sometimes its the only way to get the job done.

Well guys, here we go. Started the run on the 2 stopper Saturday morning from Eden. Got from Eden up to Whitestown, Indiana there at the TA where I met my buddy who I went to Cartersville MTI with. Parked right before that major storm came thru that collapsed the stage at the State Fair. Thank God I wasnt out there when them winds come whippin thru. Got up early Sat am, and me and my buddy drove up together to BRF. Was pretty cool getting to run with somebody, first time I had the chance to do it and made the day fly by. Got to BRF pretty early Sunday so got a chance to catch Ice Road Truckers over by a new restraunt they just opened up down the street. Got to my first stop in Barron, WI no problem at all, then headed off to Anooka, MN. First time running out there so I was pretty excited. That exciteness turned to dread when I seen how freakin tight the back was there. Saw a guy pull straight out and his trailer doors still caught the side of the building. After much prayer and sweating I got'er in there thank God. From there got a load picking up at that Jacob Lein... brewary in Chippewa Falls going to Eden. Yesterday drove from the Petro in Portage up there down to my favorite truckstop on 35 in Ohio, which is A&A right there in Jackson. Got up early this morning and drove it on down here to Eden. I had hometime starting at Friday at noon so dispacth told me just to go ahead and have a long weekend since I got home kinda late on my last hometime. Anyways still loving it out here, Im constantly learning and figuring out the tips and tricks. Think im starting to get White Line Fever as im enjoyin it more and more. Yall be safe and shout if you see me. Im in the soon to be traded truck# 6082

Glad to hear things are going good for you guys. Sounds like they're running you pretty good, which is the norm for new drivers. They're testing you to see if you can handle it, be on time, get there safe, etc.... Run hard but run safe grasshoppers.
