Not that you are aware of? Oh, I forgot, all the companies that could leave did in the 90's so they did not have to pay the high taxes to the Socialist Republic.

Flame Unions? Hmmm, guess the truth does hurt huh. Jealous? Nah, I worked for Yellow before, and could have stayed there, but chose to take my own route, for personal reasons.

.29cpm? I have not worked for that since the early 90's.

NAFTA? That was also back in the 90's. You seem to be a little behind the times there

Nah, but when they did it regularly, there was no such thing as someone 2000 miles away trying to hold your hand and tell you when to sleep.

yeah, thats true. a wide plank with some foam rubber and vinyl over it sure beats balancing on a cooler in between (hopefully) two seats though!

Yeah that's what I did, only it was a duffel bag full of clothes. They sent me to get another dump truck and I didn't get back to the site until 2am. I didn't feel like trying to find which hotel they went to so I just stretched out for the night. Got a couple hours more sleep that way.

I kinda wonder where they stowed the plank, though. Back of the cab, maybe slung under the trailer?

i swear i remember someone telling me one time that it was put on the back of the cab, or behind the seats. although it seems like it would depend on the design, as i knew a guy who had one that was very short, and just bridged the gap between the seats of a mack r model, and that one he could put wherever he wanted, pretty much. only about 2 1/2 feet long, if i remember, but it stayed put on the seats, and since he dragged it from truck to truck, i'm sure it was comfortable enough!

it seems like i still see that from time to time at companies that run daycabs though, a guy's either got a bedboard or a cooler that is the same height as the seats, because they bump docks and end up waiting on other people to load them.
