I know Trans am have automatics but do they trucks have a clutch also ? Also what is the purpose of there qualcom if you still have to use paper logs ? Are they gps system turn by turn or do you have to read the directions or do the gps system tell you where to turn ?
-
No trks with clutches in them. QC is their primary source of communications. You'll get all your load info, routing directions, and fuel stops thru it. You'll also send the basic forms back to them that way. They also ping your trk with them, tho I really don't know why. Tlr's are communicating with TA every 5 mics.

They have a GPS system in the new QC but their not using it. Dir. given to you as part of your basic info. Will need to use a different form to get drvr dir's to shipper and rcvr.

What is their average length of haul?

When I did it, they loaded 4 of us in the trk and we drove 3 or 4 miles a piece. They basically just want to make sure you can turn a corner and not hit anything.
After you come back in, yes, you'll do a backing test, some map reading, some logging, and all that stuff. You'll also have some videos and some tests to take while with uour trainer, to turn in once you get back. Don't sweat any of it and just do your best.
