Just why would it amuse you to see this truck and driver get a level 1? On the outside looks like a nice ride, not my kinda style but a sharp lookin rig. Are we just a little jealous?

    derailed........................again.

[/BS Filter]Yep, I saw that truck do that at an Associated Grocers one time... the U.S. Marshal was too far away and his buddy needed to get going. I think them lumpers PAID HIM to unload his truck. Hard to believe, I know, but I was there! First trip after the Seals turned me loose...[BS filter] :yes2557:

Must be me, when I was driving for CR England I learned about setting the clock for CR England time and using only that clock for the logs. Then at your time off, you count your ten hours across on top of page and circle the hour one next page when you can be on duty again. It will be interesting to relearn logs next April when I go to Schneider (they use e-logs).

Like lovesthedrive said set your truck clock to your home terminal time and leave it.
Only logging from that time piece.

I would use my cell phone then for the local time zone for pickups and deliveries.

    Back to the thread topic...

If you get a citation, and you turn it over to the company to pay, please be sure to follow up on it. Call the court before the due date to make sure the company paid it.

We get quite a few drivers who go out of here in handcuffs because the company did not take care of a ticket. Either it got pigeonholed and somebody forgot about it, or the company intentionally hung the driver.

Either way, when it turns into a warrant, it is time to go to jail, directly to jail, do not pass go, do not collect $200...

Just had a guy leave here for that very reason. The warrant was 6 years old. That was 6 years and 2 employers ago for the driver. He thought they had paid the ticket... Nope.

Very good point. A friend of mine just received a letter from the state of NY about a ticket he got 6 yrs ago that his company never paid. They were going to suspend his license and issue a warrant for failure to pay it. Cost him over $500 . I told him he was just lucky they even sent him a letter and let him even know.

You all totally missed the joke, That truck is Optimus Prime from the Transformers movies.

It is not a jealousy thing, it is a Id love to watch a DOT cop pull him over, and when he does Optimus transforms into a 40 foot tall robot and asks him "Can I help you with something officer"

I do not get jealous over anyone's ride because myself I have worked hard for the ones I have had, and I know just what it takes to have a nice truck. I feel like they work hard enough to have a nice rig they desrve to be proud of it!

Although I must say ya'll are makin me wonder if when you get a Peterbilt if you have to trade in your sense of humor! :biggrin_25522:
