I just started for a company that requires drivers to get a prepass but I got the prepass plus instead. Now the unit is brand new and supposed to be activated but it doesn't show any sign of working. Is there a way to turn on the unit or is it always on?

I don't know about PrePass plus, but regular PrePass is always on. You test the regular one by pressing on the device in the middle. It will then go through the light and sound sequence.

    Ops85 Thanks this.

    Have you activated your account?

Here's the site for PrePass Plus ...

As you will see, there is a section to manage your account.

My gut tells me you may not have activated the account yet.

If you're not sure, why not give them a call. I'm confident they can help you out on Tuesday.

It's a company deal. Shouldn't they have activated it?

It normally takes a few days for it to activate once the info has been submitted. (You do realize that PrePass Plus also incorporates EZ-Pass (the toll payment system) right?

I recall when I was driving for Marten it took a few days for the info to propagate through the system, once Marten submitted to info to PrePass.

You are an O/O or L/O?

It takes a while to get registered in the system some times, but sometimes the scales turn the system off, so you don't get a green or red light too. This may be the case on a holiday weekend.

With that being the case .... dah !!! Simply contact your company on Tuesday and they'll be able to answer ALL your questions.

Me thinks you might need a vacation ... we have a saying down here in Cabo ... "No Bad Days ... No Worries".

Just relax, enjoy the holiday, even if you are driving. I found that I always liked to work the holidays ... less traffic, other than around the vacation areas, less stress, plenty of time to deliver and always lots of freight (since most drivers took time off.)

Then I would take time off a few weeks after the holiday, park the truck in Atlanta and fly down to Jamaica for 5 or 6 days of R & R.

Anyhow, you have a safe weekend and relax on the PrePass thing till Tuesday.

    Remember ... "No Worries".
