What is the school in S Dakota, and does WSE pay for me to greyhound out there?
the school is at Midwest Coast Transport (our sister company). we do not
provide transportation. -
What make-model trucks does WSE use in its fleet? Volvo's, International's, and Mack's
What are the restrictions about powering a fridge, microwave, TV, etc? 1600 Watt Inverter
What are the idling restrictions? goal is to stay below 40%
I would be willing to drive all over and stay OTR 30/2 or more if kept busy. What kind of miles could I expect every week in the first year?
we can keep you busy, but the miles you're able to run as a driver depends a great deal on how well you do your job in the truck. a reasonable expectation for you would be 2400-2800/wk. our expectation is that you run a minimum of 2500 per week. -

I just talked to recruiter who says that empty miles is paid at .20 / mile, not the .30 /mile as for loaded.
-
So let me see....figure 52 weeks at 2800 miles (no need to go home!), 80% loaded...that's about 116,500 miles at 0.30= 34,950...than add in that 29,000 @ 0.20 = $5,800...yea...we're knocking on $40,000.
Now if we look at it more realistically, it's 2,500 miles X 48 weeks = 120,000 miles...96.000 loaded @ 0.30 = 28,800, plus 24,000@0.2= 4,800...hmmm
Maybe 33,000 or so?
I'd count on the lower number.
Oh yea...remember that $50 in layover pay! -
Only $25 in layover pay now, & practically impossible to qualify for.
