I'm still on paper logs...I know of one other driver that is too...and my truck is a 2006 (punkin truck...manual transmission and all).
Not trying to argue...just sayin...there are exceptions to every rule...same with the 70 mph Cascadia...not all trucks are running the same programs. (they are constantly experimenting with that stuff...constantly)
That other driver and myself were discussing the possibilities of WHY we were not on E-logs yet as we ran together from MT down to SD...
I did get some questions on my QualComm while I was on vacation last week though...asking about my QualComm (which version I have)...my point is this, I know its coming (and I don't really mind it...I run legal anyway)...but there ARE some of us that were "left behind" for whatever reason.

Also...I know alot of drivers BS about fast trucks, miles, lot lizards, loads, safe miles, and years they've been driving...not arguing that, LOL.
But not everybody is completely full of it -
Are you scheduled to get a new truck anytime soon? I'm curious as to how they determine who gets which model truck as I have seen posts where new drivers were put into new trucks and veteran drivers are still driving trucks they have had for several years. Is it just by chance you get what you get because of whats available when you get it? -
Its pretty much a combination of all the answers already given....especially "chance" (whatever is available when you need one).
I got this 2006 because I switched divisions (went from flat bed to heavy haul) and the heavy haul trucks are set up a bit different due to the RGN trailers we pull...the previous driver retired sorta unexpectedly and left them short on drivers...there are only 12 of us in the entire fleet, so losing 1 has a big impact.
As a result...I got a punkin truck
New truck for me? I'm in no hurry, LOL...I've only heard rumors, but the story is that they are trying to decide how to set our trucks up without losing fuel capacity. We run out west a lot...and 80 gallon tanks cause problems. There are 2 of us that have the "80 gallon" trucks and they have to do a lot of "out of network" fueling...Our trucks are licensed to 92,000 lbs anyway so I hope they just leave the fuel tanks alone.Flatbedder 1966 Thanks this. -

Hey there Flatbedder 1966. I read that you are starting orientation in a couple of days. good luck! I'm "supposed" to be flying out the following saturday (Oct. 1st) for my orientation with Maverick. Maybe I'll catch you up there!
JimTheHut.... you've got a hell of an attitude (a good one that is), been stalking your posts for some time now! haha

How often do Maverick drivers get through their terminals?
-
It really depends on the areas you run in as to when you will get through a terminal. I used to end up in the Chicago area about once every couple of weeks. So I would end up at the Gary yard. I went almost a year without going to the NLR yard.
