[ NEOSHO, Mo. (AP) - A gunman opened fire in the sanctuary of a southwest Missouri church Sunday, killing a pastor and two worshippers and wounding several others, authorities said.
One of the victims was the Rev. Kernal Rehobson, 44, who led the local congregation of predominantly Micronesian worshippers holding the service at the First Congregational Church, police said.
The other two victims were male members of the congregation, who were "what we would call deacons," said Dave McCracken, Neosho police chief. Their names were not released because relatives were still being notified. ]

WiseOne's Comments, I see all these shootings, sit back and wonder what in hell is wrong with our society these days? WHY is there so much hate even when Americans have all the goodies they could ever want? Perhaps the lack of spirituality is a factor in all this? Just MHO

Yeah, I hear ya:( It now seems to be the "american" way to blame God for things when we don't get our way. We are so spoiled here in our microwave society that we have a bunch of temper tantrum rage going on now.

You know, I've occasionally indulged in acts of rage/anger much to my own chagrin; however, I've NEVER allowed myself to put any innocent bystanders in the path of said rage/anger. If I'm upset/angry/pissed off at someone, I take it out on them! To do anything on the contrary is cowardly and completely unreasonable, not that rage itself is reasonable but you get the point. My prayers go out to the victims and their families of this senseless act.

Of course you know the next step will come from the ACLU talking about gun control. What a world....

I'm not so sure about the spirituality aspect. (I've seen too much weird #### to put much faith in it). Some people are insane, and often there's not much "reasoning" going on in their minds. Timebombs. tick, tick.....

On the other hand, maybe the deacons shot first! :biggrin_2556:
