OK here it goes
Why they hell are the owner operators out there accepting loads that are not paying well, I am talking about loads that pay less then 2.10 a mile
do you guys never pay for any vehicle maintenance or does your #### rig run on air.
I just wanted to say, if we Owner Operators stick together we can have a well paying trucking job I think we deserve more with the taxes and fuel prices we are paying.
I own a flatbed so I work even harder but I believe that we all should be payed well.
PLEASE STOP ACCEPTING LOADS THAT DON'T PAY, YOU WILL SEE, IT WILL HELP US ALL IN THE LONG RUN.
THE OWNER OPERATORS SET THE PACE FOR THIS INDUSTRY NOT THE BIG COMPANIES AND BROKERS.
Any comments are welcome

Competition is rolling across the border as we speak. Thank you Mr. LaHood. We can now all make the BIG bucks as drug runners. That is after we pay for exhaust systems and EOBRs for the Mexican trucks.
truckerdave1970 Thanks this. -
but we as truck drivers can change that I belive -
With all due respect, after many more years in the industry you will be much less idealistic.
This has been talked about for many moons. If it were to happen, the big companies and a small percentage of owner operators would make bank while the majority of us missed payments.
Spend your energy somewhere that you get a return for it. I don't haul cheap freight and many others don't as well. That is about all you can do. -
but again thank you to all the drivers that dont haul cheap freightjvar4001 Thanks this. -

Really, really lucky to get a good rate out of FL going anywhere. I tend to get enough going to FL that I can afford to JUST SAY NO to cheap freight and dead head on out of there as fast as my truck will take me.
volvodriver01 Thanks this. -
Ah yes, the age old battle cry of cheap freight.
As someone that has trucks, and also hires outside trucks to haul my freight, I simply take the lowest bidder. I will not choose to hire the more expensive truck simply because....well....just because other people complain they are too cheap, lol.
When you go shopping, make sure you hit all the small, independent mom and pop stores, and pay 50% more for everything you need! You won't, and I don't blame you. -
