    Hello Guys and Gal's. I'm new to trucking. I just completed truck driver training and obtained my CDL. I've been hired, I start my first day of training 10-10-11. I will be working for an Oilfield trucking company driving a tanker. Well thats about it. Everyone have a great day. I'll chime in on here when I have some more to share.

    Welcome to the site and welcome to the trucking business. The oilpatch will provide you a good living, but you've got to take care of your money and prepare for the bad times. It won't always be like this and one of these days it'll grind to a halt - that's the way it's always been. Keep some money put back so you can ride that out. Good luck!

    Thank you dognot for the info. Well I've done 1 week of oilfield driving and besides working 19 hours a day and not having scheduled days off, it isn't that bad. Worse thing so far is having to clean the tanker out.
