Sometimes you have to go with the flow. Just tested a student out last week, 75 hours Minimum, had to ask twice on that one. No pretrip before hand was needed... He hit the trifecta. thats five in a row...... got to toot my own horn, no one else will..... Pretrips change over time, like the airbrake check, light check, some drop some add..... The pad is getting crowded lately, with plans to have up to 200 students on the road, up to around 160 or so now.... Figure two to three weeks out potentially up to 100 students a week trying to test out, don't quote me on that part, I didn't pay much attention to the message Larson put out on the phone.. I miss the good old days, plenty of trailers and no wait for a pad space to practice on, students who actually wanted to drive a semi, not because they couldn't find a job at home................... enough ranting......

Hey my situation is, i filled out an online application, recruiter has passed my MVR and my history, he said now were just waiting on my former employers to fax stuff back... I made a dumb mistake thats stressing me out now, and the mistake is i said i spent a year at a community college in the employers section when in truth i didnt, i put it down so i didnt have a year gap in employment... i know its wrong, i was wondering what i can expect IF they even contact colleges / schools... and if so am i auto screwed?

So help us out, please. If you KNOW, let us know. If you only THINK you know, say so. Let us make our informed decisions.
And on behalf of all the wannabe drivers out here reading the posts, thank you.Last edited: Oct 14, 2011

Prime is growing, figure turnover rate has allways been high in OTR, that figure is down, less job hopping, less local hiring, etc., but it is still high. To keep growing Prime needs to hire more than its loss. I hear ConWay has started up training, and there retention rates are better than most..
