Knowing how easily corrupted a DAC is, if i were an employer I wouldn't even use it if the PSP is available.

Allot of the company's that use DAC only do so because it has all your prior background check info, drug test info, and list of company's that you have worked for. At least those that use DAC.

The PSP will have all inspection information.
Plus info on any accidents and it will also have the info for any ticket you received at the time of an inspection.
Tickets that are not done with an inspection should not be on the report. Nor will tickets you receive in a 4-wheeler.

Plus any warnings are also listed, when you received them with an inspection.
Got mine the other day. Is shiny and clean. 4 inspections in the past 3 years. All clean. No false info. Which I have heard is contained in some reports, so you really should check.
I have heard that a few drivers have had identity's stolen and that people are using their license numbers to drive trucks. Scary thought. This is why I checked mine.
I hate it when a shipper or receiver asks for my license. I have no idea how they deal with that info. Or how they keep it safe. My license is my work.

What I don't get is that warnings are listed just like tickets. There is no difference on my psp.

I use the information on the PSP to verrify the employment history of an application. Each of the roadside inspections listed has the name and DOT number of the carrier. I have found hidden employers that way.

The accident portion is less than perfect because so many states still do not give all accident report to the Feds.

I did hear that a company using the PSP gets some leeway during an audit for background checks.

At a seminar at NJ MTA it was recomended that not using the PSP could leave the carrier open to an ambulance chasing lawyer claiming neglegent hiring.

Every driver should get a copy and then use the Data Q system to clear up any incorrect entries.

Violations that result in a warning instead of a ticket are still violations same as a burned out lamp that you replace during the inspection will still appear on the report though I hear it is being studied; I don't know how the DOT would cange it.
