I interviewed for a management position w/ them when I was unemployed. They are a growing company using small trucks to collect med waste, sharps, etc. They will also do medical product recalls where they pickup recalled meds, etc.

Everything is then cross docked into trailers for delivery to the appropirate disposal facility.

The equipment looked good and well maintained. I would think the greatest risk healthwise/biohazzardwise would be on the collection end so the tractor trailer driver should be better protected by not handling the stuff...

They run 48' doubles across the Masspike/NY Thruway. Looks like Ryder lease tractors. Don't know much else, haven't ever seen one stopped, except in a hospital loading dock.

In my area they mostly drive class B straight trucks. Pay is $15-18 to start. Benefits are good. They provide their drivers with free hotel stays and pay for on the job expenses. Sounds pretty good.

I would imagine it's pretty good.

Sharps, body parts and infectious waste needs to be incinderated. Many cities have very good incinderators, big enough to get it done. I don't know about the sharps though. Those go into small containers at hospitals.

When they chopped off the dead bone out of me recently pathology worked it over looking for cancer etc. In the process essentially reduced it to a form that their on site incinerator could take care of it.
