Yeah they say Colorado is supposed to get up to 2 feet! LadyK in your Road carrier atlas is a number for the road conditions in Wyo. It gives you the conditions by the mile marker and is by far the best for going across 80! They really keep it updated too.

Pertaining to the trucks that shut the road down....... Of course you know what they said on the CB, "It's not bad at all, you can make it! What are you a bunch of chickens?!"

Yep we used those numbers!! We are rolling now - we also had internet, so were able to check the webcams too... we got moving about 30 miinutes AFTER they opened the roads... didn't want to compete with the 'super truckers' that bolted out of the parking area...

Smart move! Yeah we always waited when they first opened the gate.

You must have really good wifi to be getting signal out there. Course its been a couple years since I've been across there with internet.

We have the mobile hot spot from Verizon - so if there is Verizon service, we have wifi - what is nice is that we can link up to 5 devices to it - only need 2 for Gary and I, but it has been worth it's weight in gold!!

Yep, we have the 4g one and love it. Have my old ipod touch velcroed to the dash for pandora and also gives wifi to the kindles

That's what I am using too! I also have the incredible 2 with the wifi hotspot. I just use my air card though. This Verizon wifi card is faster then when I had, brainfart, whachamacallit, plug in, phone line doo-hicky! Anyways works awesome. We had the sprint card when we were over the road and that worked really well but when we got to Wyo or AZ it would get spotty. Probably a lot more towers and service out there by now.

I tell you what, I wish I had my Incredible2 when we were over the road! There isn't a #### thing I can't do on this phone! Technology is sick! Props to you guys that are out there and do have them!

Well the time being stuck bumped us back enough that we lost one of our presets - we got another load though... picking up at the same place we dropped, but 23 hours later :biggrin_25523:

SOOO we are taking advantage of it and splurging :yes2557: checked into a 'nice' hotel - bath/coffee in the room/TV and a bathroom I don't have to get dressed to use!! There is even laundry down the hall...

Can't do it often, but it sure is a nice splurge!!

Well we have hit 3 different dealerships in 3 days...

    1) just to get a clearence light - we have 'special' ones and couldn't get it OTC at a truck stop - sigh - they cost more this way - LOL!

    2) a general check up - we were getting 'codes' and the 'On Guard' system was showing an error every once and again - since that is tied up with our cruise control and breaking system, wanted to get it checked... thank goodness that was covered by the warrentee!!

    3) front end alignement - got some serious outside edge wear on our steers... and only 75K on them... now to wear down the middle of them to catch up with the sides :)

So I guess I won't be too upset that these last couple load haven't been back to back. However our miles are going to suck this next week... such a trade off :/

This next load is a 'fish' load - and we are heading into the heart of Chicago with 5 stops - Weeee!!! Wish us luck - :biggrin_25523:

This is why I am so happy we run dry van. Every couple of months or so we get a load with one extra stop and I hate it every time.
