I put a call in to Christine's voice mail and I will follow up on this and get to the bottom of it. I will say that I had a direct conversation with the lady in charge of drivers trying to subscribe to Southeast Regional (6-8 weeks ago) and she made it crystal clear that there isn't and won't be any opportunities for Regional for Florida drivers.

At Crowder orientation you are checked into a local motel. Nice place. If you get up early enough you can get breakfast at the motel, no charge. Then you are picked up at the motel by bus. You eat lunch and dinner at the Crowder College cafeteria. No charge. If you make it through orientation you go back to Joplin and are assigned a finisher. Be ready to go that day, and also be ready to wait a day or two. The finisher is a company driver and may be out on the road getting routed back to Joplin. You are required to drive 7500 miles. The finisher is required to be awake and sitting in the passenger seat the entire time you are driving the truck. Males get a male finisher, females a female finisher. Be safe out there!!!

The males get male finishers and females get females part isn't a guarentee. I am a female and when I asked (before I found out my BF could be my trainer) if I would get a female finisher I was told they have very few and there is a chance I could be put with a male finisher.

As far as I know most of the dispatching is done from Joplin unless your at one of the other terminal like Laredo,Lancaster, and West Memphis at least that's what they've told us.

Just wanted to pass some info along..... Odessa/Midland Texas is hiring LTL drivers like crazy. They have no driver and are having to have other terminal send some of their drivers down there. All the drivers they had took off to the oil field. They are giving an $8000 sign on bonus (**Eligible for $500 sign-on bonus in addition to $1500 retention bonus after 6 months; $3000 after 12 months; and another $3000 retention bonus after 24 months***) My brother in law is down there right now, filling in from OKC,Ok. Just thought I share
