If your from CA. You can call them and get them to fax a copy of an extention to you. I had to have them send me a 60 day and then a 90 extention to me. They were 7 months behind in sending out the "NEW" security type (micro computer chips in them) drivers licenses...

Its not so much as "permission" as the DM's have been hit with the responsiblity of making sure that there is a release on file for that rider.

I've seen some that don't have adjustable mirrors and they just open the door so they can use the mirror to back up too.....

    I work out of Fontana...
Herman is "ok". If he tells you he will do something he trys or aleast will tell you if he did or not.
Bruce, is a #####! He is a ex-driver that could not hack it on the road so he went into the office. So now he thinks he is the expert on EVERYTHING!
Prime example of the old saying.... "Those who can drive, those who can't work in the office...""
Martin.... he took over Vicki's fleet when she was out on a medical for a few months. (she is back). He is another one that doesn't follow through with what he says he is going to do.
Aldwin, my cousin had and said he was pretty good. He has covered Vicki a few times and has been ok...
Vicki, I think is about the best one there... at least she has been busting her butt for us, trying to keep us moving but she has problems now getting loads out of the planners in WVC.
LadyK and I will be leaving her fleet after Thanksgiving (at least that is the plan) because the way Central is starting to structure it's self. It seems that the drivers on the dedicated fleets are getting first shot at the loads with any miles on them. Example. A Dole driver takes a load from California to NC. To get that truck back to Dole in CA. that truck will get first shot at long loads that will get them back.
That leaves what ever is left for the ones of us that are not running dedicated fleets.
If it wasn't for that, we would be staying on Vicki's Fleet....

Also, if you go O/O with Central, they push this CABs course from ATBS. It is good if you don't have a business or accounting back ground. Most of the CABS couse reads like a ATBS ad wrote by Central.

so klingon is the CABS course quality or company retoric. Seem to be lots of similar things to driving and commercial construction. I have some experiece i the busiess side ad am good with umbers but this will be a new challenge.any advice helps look at what i think im seeing or learning to either renforce or make me look at it again.from what i have been reading to get decent paying loads you almost have to LO ,which worries me some.

It has some good basic knowledge in there - both Klingon and I have run our own businesses - and so it has been a good refresher for us. Concepts of profit/loss - fixed costs/variable costs - how one effects the other... good info - ESPECIALLY if you have never dealt with running your own business before.

thanks Lady K , i emailed CRS a recurieter called me to tell me they do not hire from illinois, so looks like 1A (PRIME) will be my focus.as i posted on here i have been looking at both was leaning CRS based on getting in a seat sooner, with winter coming though may be good to train longer.

ATBS is definitely a very valuable service! They do all kinds of stuff for you but their tax services were great! They send you a big vinyl envelope of which you jam all your receipts and such into and send it back to them once a month. We paid our taxes quarterly and I highly recommend this. After you send them the envelope they do your taxes and send you the report of what you owe. Simple as that. I think it was like $75 a month. They really help you stay on top of things and if you forget or get behind they will remind you.

Also if you are wanting to buy a truck they will sit down with you and help you come up with a business plan. They will also go over all of your personal finances and such cause they pretty much go hand in hand.
