FYI: OOIDA. Owner Operator Independent Drivers Asso. Join for $45 a year and they have so much information along with what you'll get in here, you'll be writing a War and Peace sized book. Find a member and get a referral from them and get a discount. Who the hello contracts out for an DIY book on trucking? Especially an E-Book that's way easier than going through a publishing house? No reject letters to have to read.

Your question is, essentially, meaningless. There are just too many answers.

Every Lease/Operator and Owner/Operator is his (her) own Trucking Company. Some O/O's have their own Authority making them Motor Carriers. There are stand-alone Motor Carriers and Brokers, trucking companies all. If you think about it, even the Truckstops are trucking companies.

I firmly believe that your subject matter is too vast. Narrow your desired area of interest and try again. You might have noticed, from the above posts, that drivers don't suffer fools gladly. We disagree all the time, but there are very few dummies here.

    Good luck.

"Vaguebooking is like vanity license plates for your car. You understand your angle, thinking that other people will too, but they won't."

2 days ago deletes post & yesterday returns to goon around the forum. So edgy. Well played. :biggrin_25518:
