Your question is, essentially, meaningless. There are just too many answers.
Every Lease/Operator and Owner/Operator is his (her) own Trucking Company. Some O/O's have their own Authority making them Motor Carriers. There are stand-alone Motor Carriers and Brokers, trucking companies all. If you think about it, even the Truckstops are trucking companies.
I firmly believe that your subject matter is too vast. Narrow your desired area of interest and try again. You might have noticed, from the above posts, that drivers don't suffer fools gladly. We disagree all the time, but there are very few dummies here.
