Advanced Tech Courses??? Opinions Wanted

Hello All! My husband and I are just starting the process to obtain our CDL's.
He has experience driving but not with the books, so he basically needs book learning in order to pass the tests, what do you think about the Advanced Tech Courses at cdl-course? Has anyone else used this course and passed the test? Also, how do companies view newbies without the "go to school" training?
Trucking has been my dream since I was 13...we'll not say how long that really is but the written part of the test should come easy for me as I've passed all of the practice tests I've taken. It's the driving test that I don't have the required experience for...some but not much. However, I do have access to a truck and trailer for practice and learning with an experienced driver. What's your opinion on me taking the same course or would it benefit me more to go to school?
