Sounds good JohnBoy, with all this preplanning and hometime the last few weeks!!!!!!!!!
The bad thing is that first west coast trip is going to feel like you been gone forever. lol Although it might just be what the doctor order with all the running from FL to Pa. Thats one thing I miss is running to the westcoast and back, I find it more relaxing but you give up the hometime.
Anyway have a good turkey day if I don't talk to you before then and Be Safe.

We'll be here with her parents, simply put I think we'd rather be by ourselves. My parents are in Houston and we simply can't afford to get down there to share either of the holidays this year with them, this will be the first time in a while that I can remember that we won't be able to have atleast 1 of the 2 holidays with them, but here's hoping that next year brings better things for us.
Been a tough road since leaving Pritchett, but the wife tells me once she finishes her schooling that she knows things will get back on track. I'm stubborn and have a hard time looking that far in the future, but I'm trying... -

I'm sitting at the Petro up from the yard. I woke up at 3am this morning in Duncan SC and hauled tail to Mountain Top. This trip since leaving the house on Wednesday seems to have taken far too long. I unloaded in Miami and was done at 9:30. The playground equipment went to a school for special needs children, I will say it again, it's deliveries like these that make me very proud of what I do. The school I delivered to according to the principal is in the poorest zip code in Miami-Dade county. The looks on the kids faces seeing all their new playground equipment come off my trailer made my whole week.
I got to Jacksonville and had a 7pm pickup. When I got there Steve (Voyager) was already there but was having trouble sliding his trailer tandem so we spent about an hour playing with it. After we got it to slide I was given a door and got out of there with 45 minutes left on my clock. I had just enough time to get to Kingsland GA and took my break there. We got up and headed out right at 6am. I made it to Florence SC at 11am and finally was empty at 2pm. Louie called and asked me when I was going to be in Mountain Top and I told him around 4pm the next day. He told me he had a 2 stopper for me that was at the same customer and that it would be ready at 5pm. I drop and hooked in Piedmont last night about 5pm and made it to Duncan. I got up this morning early and had 650 miles to my delivery. I got there at 4pm and spotted the trailer. I then asked about my outbound load and was told it would be ready at 8pm tonight. I would be out of hours for the day so I decided to go the 16 miles to the yard, fuel and hand in my paperwork. I would pick up the load early in the morning after my 10 is up. I got there right at 5pm and took care of my business. I also got my new Oklahoma Pike Pass. Something else to put on the windshield to go along with my prepass, sunpass and ezpass. This windshield is starting to get cluttered.
I have a 2 stopper, first drop 5am Monday in Jacksonville, second drop 11am in Orlando, then about 3am in Lake Worth, at the house and home for the rest of the week. Jason called me about noon to ask me what I wanted to do Friday after the holiday. I told him that if it was up to me I would load with something that delivered up north on Monday, but my wife would like me to be home for the weekend. He told me that we will do what my wife wants and he'll load me on Monday. Cool, a whole week off. Play time. When I saw him as I dropped my paperwork off he told me he had 3 trucks that will be empty and need loads and it would be much easier if he could load them and not worry about me. I told him absolutely. These 3 drivers elected to work over Thanksgiving, I'm home so my thinking is let them get rolling over the weekend, I'll stay home and decorate my house with Christmas lights.Last edited: Nov 18, 2011
The Challenger Thanks this. -
For some reason, after sliding the tandems to the rear, they didn't want to come back forward. With some extra help and a set of eyes to watch what was going on back there we got it figured out, and all was good after that.
