Just keep looking. Werner is obviously being picky right now because they can be...they must not be that hard up for drivers. Schneider was being that way a couple months ago I know. We're coming into the slow season for freight right now as well. Once the holidays are over it's a pretty big vacuum till spring.

That may have been the best turn down you've ever received!!
JohnBoy Thanks this. -
I wouldn't be complaining, in fact I would be hitting my knee's thanking you know who.

That's exactly what it was, defective vehicle. For all they know it was defective equipment. They don't need to know the original charge. Never give more information than necessary.

Taking a plea bargain is a double edged sword. You may have not been convicted of a charge, but since you were originally charged with it, that detail will still show up if someone shooses to dig deep. Technically they cant hold that speeding against you, but you will never be able to prove that.
Dont worry about, it was just Werner. -
be careful how you handle your driving record questions. now days everyone knows the game of getting tickets reduced in points, but still pay fines. I had an isurance co. ding me for a ticket and when I questioned them, they told me exactly what I had originally been stopped for. they no longer go by just your mvr, they look there for hits then find the original ticket to see what the stop was for. This happened when I was trying to get a job driving a tow truck and was a few years ago, I'm sure it gets easier for them every year.
I would agree say what the conviction was on your paperwork but be prepared to explain it further when questioned. -
My son got hired by Werner he had a ticket for doing 49 in a 25. We went to court and he plead guilty to careless driving, a higher fine $450, but less points than a reckless ticket. He also had 2 seatbelt tickets and one at fault accident;but they still hired him.He only lasted one week as a solo driver but the point is they will take just about anybody to fill that seat.

Has anyone noticed this thread is over 2 years old? Surely the OP is employed by now.
