Was wondering how long it was going to be before I ran into one of you guys. Pretty sure I ran into sewerman (a.k.a Pollack) at the Pilot near Portage, IN fueling up for my trip to Niles. If that was you, thanks again for the bungees they came in handy! :) I put your name on my application as a referral Jim so if you see a referral bonus sometime soon that was me haha. On my way to the house, hit the 14 hour clock tho so sitting in a rest area for the night. Have a good weekend guys.

    JimTheHut and sewerman Thank this.

The directions to where I was delivering said exit 51 B East and the name of the town. I did not bring my book with me so I do not remember the name.
My gps was showing the same exit, only going west. So I knew one of the things was wrong. There was no were to pull off so I went towards the town at the exit that was given and went west. After the described two miles I pulled over and called. It was supposed to be 51 A East.
So I sent in a qualcom message and corrected the directions.
Got to the place and you had to pull of the side of the road and go in and let them know you were there. They make wooden reels for wire.
They have to stop traffic so you can blind side in.
After sitting for about an hour and a half they decided they would let me back in.
Got in and started to un tarp. The top of the tarps were covered with Ice and snow from the night before.
I could stand on the rear super single in the front so I was able to peel back the flap so I could pull it off.
While I was folding the tarp a older lady who was a customer offered to help me fold my tarp. I told her thanks but I do it all the time.
The back tarp was a different situation. The load went over the back of the trailer so I could not peel the flap up so I could pull off the tarp.
It would not budge at all. So I climbed up on top in the front and carefully worked my way back. I had to crawl part of the way as there was a low power line above me. The tarp was covered with Ice and very slippery.
I took my time and worked the corners up and was then able to push it off.
Got it folded and then found that every one of my straps was frozen to the ratchet. Got them all off and then they got me unloaded pretty quick.

My next load was picking up steel bars south of Pittsburgh taking them over to Indiana.
Got there and loaded pretty quickly. There was a BTC truck that got loaded in front of me. He choose to use all straps. I used the belly wrap on the font and back and then 6 chains. I was pulling away while he was still strapping. He looked at me in disbelief that I got finished before him..I just waved as I pulled away.

I had to go around DC and it rained almost the entire day. It took me over three hours to get around it. I was quickly running out of time and it did not look like I was going to get out of the traffic and find a place.
I saw there was a rest area near Fredricktown Ma...but it turned out to be a scenic look and no trucks and closed at dawn.
So I ran out of my 14. I called extended services and they told me to call when I got stopped.
I was only going to be about 5 minutes over, but then a semi had run of the road and parked in the median on I 70. I got to the rest area in Haggerstown PA and was over by 26 minutes.
I called back in and they asked me how much I had gone over.
I told them 26 minutes. They said, is that Central Time or Eastern Time?
    I said it doesn't Matter...its 26 minutes over:biggrin_2554:
So it snowed again that night and I got up and headed to Indiana.
Got there around 0800 at Plymouth Tube.
After I got unloaded I was putting away my boards and as I slid them in, I hit the steel support coming down. The entire frame broke away from the trailer. I am so lucky that it did not happen on the way there in the snow and dark. It would have been a real mess.
So I strapped all of my boards on the front of the trailer and used my dunnage strap to pull the frame into the trailer and hold it in place.
I got a load to pick up at Heidtman Steel in Butler going to Elizabethtown Ky.
Got a single coil. In order for me to get my 34 hr reset this weekend, I hit the rack at 1700 yesterday afternoon and got up at 2100 and completed my 10 hr reset at 21:30.
I arrived at my home Pilot at 03:30 and started my 34 hr reset.
There were no spots available, so I pulled in behind two trucks who were to the left of the scales. I just sat there and ate breakfast and drank coffee for a couple of hours until a spot opened.
I finally got a spot at 0500 and I went back to bed.
At 08:45 I called my daughter and she came up and got me.
I will be leaving out around 1700 tomorrow and heading down to the pilot at Sonora to spend the night. Then just a short jog in the morning to Elizabethtown to drop off my coil.
Hope you all have a wonderful weekend.
I need to get the DR set up for snow plowing and put up my snow fence on the driveway and put plastic up on the chicken coop.
Then tomorrow hopefully watch the Bengals beat the Ravens!

May I suggest stopping at I believe is the 105 on I 65 is a pilot. You would have to go past Elizabethtown to go to Sonora. I hope the Bengals are playing at home that way you don't have to get all the parole officers involved to let the players leave town. LOL

Well I had a pretty good week. Did about 2600 miles. Loaded up for St. Paul Minnesota out of Tennessee Friday. Was scheduled to deliver Monday got it moved back to Tuesday. I could've made Monday delivery but then I would only have two hours left on my 70. And with me starting on Monday I wouldn't get any hours back till Tuesday at midnight and by that time I would had a reset.
So this way here I made it home Saturday afternoon and I'll get my reset at home and leave Monday. Have a great weekend, drive safe and enjoy the ride

I was going to check it out for sure before I decided to stay there....I was going by what another driver told me when we were talking on the phone on Friday.
They are playing at home, so I am going to leave early so that I do not have to get stuck in the traffic.....:yes2557:
