No offense here, but North Dakota basically wants anyone within their hiring requirements, it's kind of like the Marcellus Shale up here in western PA. Personally I would be careful about going to the Dakota's, you've got a boomtown right there in your home state, it's called Odessa/Midland.
I spoke with a company by the name of Compass Well Services, in George West, TX I believe was the name of the town. They're offering the same type deal, they'll house you, pay per diem, provide meals, and it's a 2 week on, week off schedule I believe and they'll pay your traveling expenses. I'm not saying this a company that would fit your needs but it's just an example of what you have available right in your neck of the woods.Giggles the Original Thanks this. -
Willington TA. 3 hours from home terminal (and a couple of days off) but won't have the hours til' midnight:01. Oh well!

I've worked in TX and Ok oil patch. it is not paying like it sounds. The ND stuff is paying in some places by the hour 12 on 12 off and like 30 dollars an hour. most of this is percentage of the truck no bennies and home is when you can slip it in. now its not bad money, but i would like better.

I talked to a couple guys running NEW frac tanks from Jersey up to northern mid west. They pick up brand new tanks (Really are boxes with single axle at rear point of box) at the factory and run them to the work site (ND?) and bob tail back east after the drop. The one guy said they are pulling down 45 CPM BOTH WAYS; 3400+ mile round trip and weekends off. Thousands of frac trailers are on order.
I need a company gig like that.Last edited: Dec 18, 2011
