Even if you're a lease-op, it's Prime's trailer. They pay for it..
If it has duals on it, you don't move it. At most, I might move it to a safe place off of the side of the big road... but only a few miles.
Good man. Even if it was a dual set-up, it's illegal to move the trailer. Many cops will pull you over and write you up for running with a flat, if not failing to do a pre-trip. Why put this on yourself when its going to be taken care of by Prime?
Then there is CSA... that tire is worth 30 points alone in the first year if it makes it onto a federal inspection form. If you decide to leave Prime, that ding will be sitting there waiting to snare you in your next attempt at employment on your PSP report. I says you are willing to violate the law, and hang a bunch of points on a company - wanna bet that they think that over a bit?
However, if you are in a safe place - running around a bit on a flat that doesn't have an obvious hole in it can save you the wait. Most of our trailers (can't say if this is true on the flatbeds) have a Tire Maxx inflation system on them. If the tire is still on the rim many times it will re-inflate the tire, and it will be just fine to run down the road on.

I was sitting at a Pilot with a trailer flat 1/4 mile from my 90. R/A wanted me to run 15 miles back to a Loves to avoid the outcall charge. I told them no. Then he got mean with me and said he didn't believe me about the trailer catching a pothole. I told him he wasn't in the ------ing truck. After I delivered they swapped me with someone else and he limped it to the Loves

Our trailers have the inflation system. The tire wouldn't fill back up. Now its flat again, but I went to a T/A last just in case this happened. I can limp it the 300 foot to the tire bay lol

Does anyone know if prime has a drop yard near Bozeman Montana. Newbie friend from there. Wants to know where he will take his trailer when he goes home

Is your guy going reefer or Flatbed?
As a reefer driver, Ive got to tell you, I have delivered in Billings twice and had loads repowered twice from MT. Each time I have been sent empty south to either UT or ID for reload. I dont think reefer picks up anything up there.ehilltex Thanks this. -
