What have you read here that makes Knight seem like a good company to work for?

Lots of night runs. Lots of late pick ups. Lots of waiting for load/unload because alot of their freight has no appt pre-set. Some breakdown issues, like as in being down for 5-10 days. Equipment not being dot legal, shop will not replace tires unless they are under 2/32. Lots of time wasted dopping ontime loads (t-calling) just to go and pick up a late one thats due that day. It's mainly loosing alot of time doing these things when all you want to do is run your load and get paid for it.

.33 - .41cpm sliding scale -.02 cpm per diem if opted. You will be enrolled in per diem first 30 days and then you can opt out. Detention is $10/hr paid every .5 hr after the first 2 hrs of being detained. +$25 for a hazmat load. I think $25 for extra stops. In the few months I was with them, I can probably count all the loads that were less than 500 miles on one hand so you will almost always get the lowest of the pay scale. I was paid detention a total of TWICE when I put in for it sending the proper macros maybe 10 times or better. Never in 5 months did I ever get a hm load. AND they were pretty quick to fire me over 1 moving violation and the only one on record in 10 yrs. If you're willing to utilize your hrs, never be late, do a good job, you will get plenty of miles and probably make close to $800/wk on average. Close to $1000/wk on a fresh 34 reset. But you better be willing to run overweight, over hrs, utilize personal line 5 in the middle of your 10 hr reset and be expected to do it all over again in a couple of hrs. Otherwise you'll be punished and be told there is no loads and you'll sit for days. Then when it comes for h/t, they MIGHT get you home within 2-3weeks of the day you requested.

    Good luck!

    Lonesome Thanks this.
