I have a deep respect for my husband and child support is one of the reasons. When I married him he was paying child support for his two daughters from his first marriage. His ex had them in Mass. at the time and he hadn't gotten to see them in almost 2 years. Every month the first thing we paid was child support and we did it no matter what. For over 10 years that woman hid his daughters, would tear up his letters to the girls, refuse to let him speak to the on the phone and she would take them out of state the few times the courts said she had to let him see the girls. TEN YEARS of not seeing his children. Ten years of phone calls from that woman saying she needed money for braces, for broken arms or that the girls were ill only to learn they weren't. She'd call in the middle of the night and tell us the girls had been killed or raped, all lies. We tried to get custody, spent a fortune in the courts that we didn't have. My father paid for lawyers to try and get those girls. At one point that woman was going to turn the oldest girl over to foster care and when we contacted the Mass. child welfare system we were told that to the state of Mass he had NO legal rights to get custody however we'd be sending the child support payments to them. The oldest girl got pregnant at 14 and the mother allowed her to marry a year later. The mother knew of the relationship and the guy was 26 when he got the girl pregnant. That woman had 3 more kids and tried to get us to pay child support on them also.

After the abusing his younger daughter for years she threw her out into the snow one night at age 14, barefoot with no coat to walk across Boston at 3am to her sister's house.

I'm not ashamed to say what we did next was to smuggle that child out of Mass and into Texas. There we got custody. She is my beloved daughter. That woman wouldn't even speak to her on the phone and would return cards marked "return to sender -- unwanted mail unwanted child". That woman agreed to sign over custody and then called wanting her "child support check".

What's my point? We could sit down and show these two girls that their daddy sent the CS every month. We could show where we paid for braces they didn't get, presents she kept or gave away, or claimed to have given them herself. We were able to show that while that maniac of woman hid them from him, he was wanting them and loving them. We could show that no matter what, their daddy did the right thing over and over.

I've prayed alot about that woman over the years so that I wouldn't hate her and I tried to teach those girls to forgive her. But it's really hard when I see the destruction she did, the scars on their bodies, the years they missed with their daddy. However, good can come from bad. They're wonderful mothers, sweet caring, loving. And as a result of them having a rotten first mother, I have daughters who love me.

This was long winded and I'm sorry. I really only meant to say I admire my husband for always doing the right thing no matter what.

My ex is self employed and was also a union member. However union jobs are slow and he is working for cash. Doesn't put it in the bank just pockets it. Well after a trial a year and half ago judge decided he was indeed hiding money and gave him xx to pay. Judge stated that he would not revise/lower child support until he ponyed up the bank statements etc. So the ex decides to go through state support services knowing he would get a new ear. I have four other children have always worked and have daycare expenses. I get a notice from support services that although he does not have the child 50% thats what they are basing child support on, I have always worked ALWAYS so guess what I have to pay him! They do not count my other children as dependents they do not put his $7500 in arrears in the system and they calculate his income on unemployement incomeo only $1k a month his car payment is more than that! I bring home 2k a month to support 5 children and now I have to pay him.......what has come to this world! Im considering quiting my job and saying forget it all what the heck am I doing working my rear off 50 hours a week for I dont see the kids, I dont ever have enough money and I'm always struggling! I feel bad for those guys that have half their check taken to support kids I wish he would just come to a mutual agreement but he wont even discuss it he thinks that I will actually have to pay him....I just cant believe that would happen.

This is true. Another option would be; Put the business in a family members name, and have them pay you a salary on paper. Just make sure you can trust that family member.
    Good Luck.
I find myself in the same situtation. I have a 22 y/o daughter and my real estate business is in her name, and she pays my salary. Only catch is I have to pay her taxes and pay her a small salary for the inconvience.

I doubt seriously if 25% of your salary is really 50% of what it cost to raise your daughter. Quit wineing and pay for your kid. Iys not up to you to see eactly how the money is divided up, bit Im sure your ex is putting in her share.I dont know what you make, but I do know what it cost to raise a child. I have 4 of them and would certainly not wine in a open forum about supporting them.

If it's like that then I would be trying to find a way of digging up some dirt and getting some hard evidence on her that she is not using the money for it's intended purpose. Hire a PI would be your best bet. Only thing is, if they prove her unfit then you will have the responsability to raise your child meaning no more OTR for you. Other wise the child goes to the state and placed in foster care. As you well may know, your not the only driver making peanut shell's. It's the vast majority of us driver's that are working for almost nothing so don't feel like you the only one because most of us are between a rock and a hard place right now.

As for trying to keep more money in your pocket and off the book's... It'll never happen unless you are working under the table and not reporting it. Other wise every penny you make will hit the book's before you ever see it. That's just how it work's.

Now as I do see that it is BS to hit a hard working man for everything he has because the ex want's to be a #####, I can however say I can understand such in my finace`s point of view, as my 2 step kid's daddy has worked maybe a full total of 3 month's worth of time over the last 7 years. I mean that literally. Hired him on with us and he worked on my crew for two day's pissing and moaning the whole time then quit. It was even an under the table job. He won't work, he relies on his momma and other family to support his sorry, dope headed, lazy, 25 y/o ###. That's why he is being hit with child support which he is almost 5 months behind in. Has multiple felony and misdemeaner charges and now has a felony warrant out for non payment.

Anything you buy for your child that is not under the child support payment, keep the reciepts. It must be something that benifits the child. If she can not prove such documentation, that should raise question and concern with social services and child support collectors. By that time they will be looking at her home, what all is in it and how well it is kept up, is she working, drawing unemployment, making any effort to provide legal income, subject to random drug and alcohol tests and so on. But you have to have hard proof to prove her unfit/using child support fund's for her personal benifit.

I'm not sure how the INC. work's but it is understood that any money put under this label can only be taxed once and can not be touched by the government again and I'm pretty sure that include's child support but don't hold me to that because it's only what I have heard about it.

Hey Landshark....pack sand.....I STRONGLY feel that it is BULL S%*( that a psycho ex has that much controll over others lives. Let me ask you this.... If my daughter who i pay CS EVERY month, ends up getting a short payment because work is slow, or worse im out of work, what happens (rhetorical) The state puts it on a tab that they harass you to no end. But when my family's funds HERE end up short WHAT TAB DOES THAT GO ON? I can tell YOU what to do with your respect.....i think you know......but i am not Bobby Brown or a NFL star. and i am quite sure that 1200 a month is friggin rediculous as my whole family here wife,1.5 yr old, cat, and myself can pay all bills FOR EVERYTHING on slightly more (1600) so i think i am not alone in these feelings toward your post.

Hiding income from ex wives unfortunately is sometimes the only answer. While I do not agree you should hide anything, how is one supposed to live a normal and decent life? Some wives are just outright trying to make the ex husband suffer for one reason or another, even when the ex husband is doing the right thing.

My fiance and I are trying to live our lives and his ex wife who cheated on him, in his own home, won't let up even though she did the damage. They have a child together and ever since I came in the picture she has been even more money hungry and makes his life impossible which in turn affects me greatly. There are more than two sides to the story, especially when one of the ex's try to move on and start a new family and live a normal life.

The law is very unfair to men and women (sadly) take full advantage of the laws and hang men out to dry. It is not always dads being deadbeat fathers, its women being greedy and jealous witches too!

Don't mean to offend the good ex wives out there. There are just so few of them and the government is so incredibly unfair. A bit frustrated yes, because I am emotionally tolled. My health has been affected and I am so drained from the emotional roller coaster, but I am hanging in there because I love my fiance and I want a life with him. He is amazing to me and I try to be the best to him. If only his ex wife was never his wife in the first place, our world together would be even more magical.

Good luck to you men who try to do the right thing and make all your outrageous payments, spend time with your kids and be there for them. Sorry you have to deal with such miserable ex's. I say do what you have to do to make sure your kids are taken care of and make sure your own personal life does not suffer because of the ex's greed or selfish ways.

Incorporating in Illinois would cut your taxes in half, not double them. I just did it and it will save me half the employment taxes. plus the fee i paid my cpa to incorporate is tax deductible. I don't know how a judge would judge your income due to an S corp tax liability being passed through to its chareholders. Unless you incorporate with your new wife as the 100 percent shareholder and then she pays you minimum wage..
    just food for thought
