It reminded me I needed to update my information, on a side not, highway 139 in Lassen County is lenght restricted, and for a reason, I have only been on it in my suv, and even then it was hairy, my dad drove chip trucks along there, and he didn't like it. This time of year it gets icey on top of that. That part of California isnt like what the rest of the state is.
People in the southern part don't even realise what is up there or what its like.

This particular forum was created to alert drivers in relationship to employment. Poor equipment, low pay, failure to pay, not getting drivers home, etc. You really can't judge a company on how one thinks an employee losing their life should of played out differently. All people grieve differently and I now believe your anger is misdirected. The man couldn't look the parents in the eye because that really isn't a comfortable situation one normally has to deal with. I bet he dreaded the whole trip there. But he done it.
I looked at the FMCSA safestat portal. They call it a company snapshot for a reason. It gives one a quick picture of a company with some invaluable information.
LTI has a better than average record in all aspects. There are no previous complaints on here.
Father and son drove for this company? A father wouldn't direct his son to work for a poor company.
I feel your pain klacorrie and you are looking for answers. It was a tragic accident and it looks like everyone is doing everything possible. If nobody showed up on the parents doorstep and the company dodging the situation would be lack of compassion. But that's not the case. Settling financial matters takes time and is based on Daniels wants, then what the law says.
The whole family is grieving right now. Embrace each other. There is no fault, rhyme or reason why Daniel died. Again, I'm truly sorry for your loss.formertaxidriver, bullhaulerswife, Hitman and 3 others Thank this. -
sorry for your loss lets remember he was in a milk wagon probably a smooth bore to boot and even the best driver in the world is at risk as they are extremely susceptible to roll overs at any given moment
formertaxidriver Thanks this. -
dont know what its like to lose a child. sorry for your loss
i have heard a lot of the LTI groups employees say good things about the company
all i have talked to say its a good life except the one who filed the work comp claim.
im sure a manager who suspects his company will be facing litigation will be reserved in encounters with you
