I think the term your looking for is a LEASE Operator.....If you seriously pull into closed scales and beleive the crap your posting here, there is no way your a O/O.

They don't check anything when there's no-one there. They just forget to turn it off when they close the place up and go home for the day.

I dont run any scales as my O/O job anymore but it can happen..

I work for barole trucking in minnesota hauling containers and id never go OTR again. I own my own semi and haul the freight i want to haul and be home when i want to be. Its nice only working 6 hours a day and sleeping in my own bed every night, just sayin.

I've heard that it does track but only one or two states keep any of those records, Washington being one of them. But WA has cameras set up to take photos of your truck, dot#'s, etc., and use that to track everyone. That part I've seen.

oregon and washington use NorPass...and yes that is used to track your time in the state...Prepass is not used to track your truck in prepass states. I have run with prepass for since 2000 and have run way over my legal time and went past a scale with a green light and have gotten red lights and never had a problem...There are so many trucker tales out there about prepass that i gotta laugh at times.. just like some idiot who told me the TWIC card i had is really a way to track me because of the micro chip located on it...i just go YA THINK..LOL
