I'm on my second restart since Friday . Got back from a 900 mile round trip to retrieve a rolled tanker Friday night . Did a restart and left Monday on a drop and hook 850 miles each way . Got home 4 p.m. last night and now on another restart . Leaving tomorrow morning for that same drop and hook run .

That's what I like about working for a small fleet. If I'm sitting for more than a day, 95% of the time I'm at home chasing a 2 year old bent on destroying all she touches!

Aren't you glad the new HOS will reduce restarts to once a week ?

I havnt had a reset since December today us payday, gross 1320.61,net 1042.41. That's only two trips, I held 2 back for next payday. Maybe you should change companies

    How so ??

Won't hurt a driver in the least. You can still drive the same number of hours a day, with proper planning.

The only companies it will hurt, are those that still haven't learned to spell L-O-G-I-S-T-I-C-S.

Bottom feeders will be driven out even faster..... :biggrin_25519:

I don't think the implication is the restarts themselves, but the hours sitting that equal out to a second or third restart. In my case, I sat for over 80 hours in 5 days time. Half of Saturday, all of Sunday, and 6 hours on Monday. Then after delivering Monday morning, I drove about 180-190 miles and parked it around noon. this time it was half of Monday, all of Tuesday, and 9 hours Wednesday morning.

This thread is making me realize that my dispatcher, and planner are pretty awesome. Since the first of October, I've taken 2 resets, and one was my fault (newb planning mistake).
