I'm thinking of getting a 12 volt or 110 volt electric blanket for those nights when its not real cold.
Has anyone used one and do they eat up to much battery to start my truck in the morning?

Do you have opti idle? If you do the lowvoltage monitoring will restart the truck to recharge the batts....but still less idling then having it in temp control mode.
I would multiply the fuse rating on the 12v blanket by 12 to get a wattage or do the amphour calculation for how much it will draw...
Will not be very accurate..thermostatly controlled, so draw will vary with temp...more when cold....less when warm....and batt capicity varries from new....and with temp.
i'm thinking on a cold morning, when you need good batts, you may have issues....so get a sleeping bag!!! -
No I don't have opti idle.

I had one for a couple years. I never had a problem starting in the morning.
