i would add man in 5year use

after 500-600tkm man start to fall in pieces everything had to be changed

on astronic model clutch can be exchanged even before 400tkm

older man models up to fe2000 were good but younger are too sensitive

you need to change cab suspension very often

    lot of brakedowns .....

We spend a lot on our trucks any way.
We still have one MAN F2000 27-463 really been a good truck.

Our DAF's are all under 850 000km but the truck over all seems to be holding up.The interior seems durable.

We only have 1 Volvo , it has been to the dealer 9 times for the same fault , its going to an independent shop on Monday as my shop don't know Volvo to well.

We have 2 UD Nissan trucks and they are by far the best as far as no issues.
    Just service and use.
    Absolutely nothing else.
The cabs are just small even by European standards.
They are also not fancy just basic.

The Hino's we have are to new to say.
They are just really expensive to repair.
Had one in a fender bender.
A head light , pressed steel bumper , indicator , foot brake valve and Hino badge (sticker type) cost about 5 800 Euro;s with out painting or fitting.

Always a problem no matter where in the world you are.

Another thing to watch out for in the XF 95 DAF in particular is the wiring loom. Around 2002 DAF seem to have changed over to a poor quality Chinese copper supplier for their wiring, with disasterous results. Most 2002~2007 DAF trucks passing through our workshop have bits and pieces grafted into the wiring loom all over the truck.....very very troublesome in that respect

Scania or Volvo were never like that with me, volvos service was very good even with imported trucks, never an issue with warranty, scania were even better, if the truck was out of warranty they would claim on the warranty of another truck. Scania also would give me a replacement truck if mine was broken down more than 24hrs no matter what country I was in ( happily I never had to use this)

We placed orders with Daf 12 weeks ago for new wiring looms.
This is because we were having ongoing issues.
Mainly the loom that interfaces with the Astronic transmissions.
Now when we ask when we can expect them they act like they don't know what we are talking about.
We show them the orders where they signed receipt and they say , okay we will look in to it.
We are looking in to locating quality aftermarket suppliers.

I've run a 2002 TGA 460 with over a million hard kms on it for 3 and half years to date and it has been a fairly decent truck. A bit complicated until you get used to it,but I've had excellent back up from the dealer, where they will literally bend over backwards to keep you going and the bills are very reasonable from their workshop. Furthermore,if the driver calls their workshop with a particular problem, the mechainics will, nine times out of ten, diagnose and help him solve his problem and try to keep him trucking. Its been the best back up to date I've ever received from a main dealer.

What problems are you seeing with the TGA in Eastern europe?
