ANY Ham radio op's that take the radio in the truck here?

I only have the radios in the truck. Not allowed to play radio when I am home, per the Boss! But I do use the HT on the back porch on occasion.....

 

Not yet, but plan to. Not really interested in 2 meter, want to run HF.

 

I run a Arrow J-Pole inside when we have T-Storms here. It works very well with a HT. I can get about 35-40 miles with them. It may get you into the Baltimore area repeaters from your back porch.

 

Many Drivers are Hams. And run all type of equipment in their trucks.

 

Run both HF and VHF/UHF mobile. Lots of fun. I've run into a large number of trucking hams out here over the years...

 

i run both hf and vhf an uhf.but i mostly run hf.you can find me on 14.300,14.332.28.400.29.600. i would like for us drivers to start a hf net or pick a frequency on 20 meters or 10 meters and lets see how good we can make contacts.my call is ( KI4AGD).you can see what i run in my rig on QRZ.
