Yeah, I hear you on the team thing. I'm in that boat right now; but why is he so arrogantly insisting on a team friendly company? Other than teams being more cost efficient and possibly getting the freight there faster, what else is the big deal on teams? I would think O/O would be a better option for a company ...

I guess you haven't seen the billboard on I-30 westbound heading into Texas about hiring O/O and beening home weekly.

IMO it is because of his past business contacts he knows where a lot of team freight is. Right after he came on board there were a lot of qcom messages saying "we have an opportunity for new freight." It was mostly team stuff.

Ah!!! I see! It's all about the Benjamin's baby!

Maybe his overall plot is to make PAM; strictly team driven ...

Pam would fold and go out of business before becoming stictly team driven, if it became all team driven no employee would have over a year experience, since they would all quit.

Now, now Mr. Skokz, are you implying that everyone who goes teams quits? I'm a month and a half in and still going strong!

Nah, I was happy there. I left because I wanted to get out of the monotony of holding a steering wheel, and took up skateboardin' :)

More power to ya, if you like the whole sharing a prison cell with a stranger! I'm not implying that people who team quit, just saying if pam was a team driven company only. They would not be able to hire anyone with any experience to drive team with the low team wage that pam pays and the only employees pam would have would be nothing but fresh low paying team drivers! Lets see if you are still going strong after 6 months!

LOL ... Oh I know I won't be. 6 months is more than enough to share a prison cell as you put it.

But don't you think it's a successful model? Paying desperate newbies who are trying to get into the industry with low wages and getting rid of everyone else? I hope not cause I'm looking forward to my solo time ...

Apparently it works for the bigger companies but I think it's a bs way of doing business. Eventually when all these low paying newbies can't make delivery times or can't run all nite companies will lose those customers and then the next bfi company will get customer and cycle continues. Happened to a friend of mine had a contract with a decent ltl company and they couldn't deliver on time so he uses nothing but O/O now. So low paying newbies is not good for this industry, most don't have pride and care in what they do. (not saying u don't)
