I have had parts powder coated for free( Had to wait for the paint line to run a specific color), Plenty of new cardboard boxes when i was moving, Budweiser promotional sweatshirts from a customer and recently a brand new still wrapped CB antenna. We have a contract to haul Daimler truck parts. A CB antenna was packed in by mistake. They were tossing it in the trash so i asked and they gave.

My freebies have been frozen Pillsbury rolls, some meat, candy from Hershy's,and like some have posted stuff I can't remember. Usually I give that stuff to the crew when I do a trailer washout. For some odd reason the trailer is really clean after that. I had a load of Hershy's candy and the Guard gave me a handfull of candy and I got inspected at the Castaic Coop. Since I don't eat that stuff I asked the Inspector if wanted the candy AFTER he was finished. He said yes and the next time I went by there I got the green light on the Prepass. Gee I wonder why?

Occasional cookies, crackers, and candy. Even got a case of paper towels from a shipper one time that I stashed in my upper bunk until I got home.

I had 6 extra cases of frozen tilapia filets once, and could have kept it, but instead Googled a local food shelf charity and swung thru to make a donation. I would have been eating whitefish for years had I kept 'em.
I remember the Brach's candy plant giving away all the hard candy you could put in your pockets, but they wouldn't let you fill a bag, only your pockets.
Also one time I got a couple of mini cherry pies from a plant that made them. I didn't care for cherry pie so I gave them to another driver who appreciated the free dessert. -
American-Trucker Thanks this.
